Lukasz on SoundBetter

If you would like to add drive, feel and passion to your songs, let me record rhythmical instruments to it . I will upgrade your tracks playing with breathe, bringing life and taste to your music.

Hi!

My name Lukasz - passionate drummer, producer and studio owner and I have been involved in music production and recording for five years. In 2022, I was noticed by the international platform for sound engineers and music producers, SoundGym, which conducted an interview with me.

I would like to serve other musicians and songwriters throughout this platform and want to specialise in recoding rhythmical parts in music as drums, percussion, bass, and keys, however I can be pretty good at other stuff as well as full music production, drum programming and mixing.

So, if you would like to add some value to your tracks, don’t hesitate to create something special together. I always deeply focus on vision of an artist, so I will guarantee the tracks I deliver will be great, if not I’m ready to give you money back!

You will achieve hi-quality parts, recorded in good rooms, with good microphones and preamps, I will prepare and edit them, so you can use it directly into your mix.

I will also give you some overall go to tips in music production to get your best at your songs.

Genres which are close to my musical taste are : pop/rock, indie pop, folk, EDM, rap/hip-hop.

Let’s create some amazing things together!

Łukasz is a talented musician, a professional in every way and a perfect person to work with - experienced and committed. We hope these were not our last projects.

Interview with Lukasz

  1. Q: What are you working on at the moment?

  2. A: I'm working on some hip/hop project , just imported tracks into the session, and we need to replace some tracks, make them shine.

  3. Q: Is there anyone on SoundBetter you know and would recommend to your clients?

  4. A: Jeff Sojka mixing and mastering engineer.

  5. Q: What do you like most about your job?

  6. A: It is the best way to express my personality. Also, giving quality to peoples' work , performances, that's the marvellous experience. Meeting inspiring personalities it's also valuable.

  7. Q: How would you describe your style?

  8. A: My style is quite original, I love many musical styles, sometimes I combine different genres such as gospel/pop/rock/edm, etc.

  9. Q: What type of music do you usually work on?

  10. A: I do l pop projects including piano and vocals, and also full instrumentals with drums, guitars, synths etc.

  11. Q: What's your typical work process?

  12. A: I do some drum track recordings for clients, or produce songs from scratch - including live drums, and other instrumental tracks as - piano, synths, bass, guitars.

  13. Q: Tell us about your studio setup.

  14. A: I have studio set up including APS monitors , RME BabyFace Pro FS interface, Neumann Tlm 102 which I use mainly for lead vocals, and a pair of Audio Technica AT 4033 for acoustic instruments. For drum recording I co -work with my friend's studio which has some bigger spaces.

  15. Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?

  16. A: Jeffrey Thomas Porcaro as drummer, Steve Lillywhite (U2, Rolling Stones) as record producer. When it comes to modern producers I listen to Fineas (Billy Eilish) and Jack Antonoff (Taylor Swift). There's is a great mixing and recording engineer Geoff Foster from Air Studios in London who inspires me, awesome craftmanship in mixing and recording - his credit is Billy Eilish song No Time To Die.

  17. Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.

  18. A: I produce songs from scratch, mix music, cut drum tracks, record vocals.

  19. Q: Analog or digital and why?

  20. A: Both. I would say analog can add great taste and control to the sound as long as you know what you are doing. Lot of guys now work in the box, so for me perfect set up is using both wisely, especially analog for tracking.

  21. Q: What questions do customers most commonly ask you? What's your answer?

  22. A: How long it will take to make a song from scratch. My answer is that depends. When I have piano and vocals - which is common I can do all the things like in two weeks, some more complex songs I would expand time of finalization to one month.

  23. Q: What's the biggest misconception about what you do?

  24. A: Some times I overthink some issues, when it comes to mixing/editing, it's just better to trust ears, I mean gut instinct.

  25. Q: What questions do you ask prospective clients?

  26. A: What kind of music do you listen ? Who or what inspired you to write particular song/lyrics? Who is your favourite singer? What is your goal when realising it?

  27. Q: What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?

  28. A: Find the right person to your project, and somebody who listens carefully to your vision, somebody who is great to be around with while recording/producing/mixing process.

  29. Q: If you were on a desert island and could take just 5 pieces of gear, what would they be?

  30. A: I would take my apple computer, BabePro interface, pair of Aps Monitors, midi keyboard, and maybe one of my guitars or condenser microphone to create some original samples in the island.

  31. Q: What was your career path? How long have you been doing this?

  32. A: For fifteen years I've been a session drummer for live and studio performances, and I started making music like four years ago. Also used to make some teaching classes (like leading bands).

  33. Q: Which artist would you like to work with and why?

  34. A: Taylor Swift and Tate McRae. Taylor is iconic singer now, but such a kind spirit with an excellent song sense. Tate McRae is amazing modern singer and dancer, which make her unusual as performer. She is a legendary singer and It would be fantastic to meet her in the studio.

  35. Q: What's your strongest skill?

  36. A: Great rythmical intuition, good listening skills - I believe hopefully, seeing overall view of the project.

  37. Q: What do you bring to a song?

  38. A: Freshness, space, energy, great drum tracks, great sound of the vocal.

  39. Q: Tell us about a project you worked on you are especially proud of and why. What was your role?

  40. A: There is one project I would like to mention - like 3 years ago I produced hillsong type music called Zaufaj Panu (Trust The Lord) and it was kind of a special to me. Singers weren't professional studio musicians, but they did their very very best on the recording. Each time I can get out some best qualities from people it gives me a joy and happiness. That song realise was a dream of a girl who died for cancer.

  41. Q: What's your 'promise' to your clients?

  42. A: You won't regret working with me, I care for people and their music, try to maintain good relationship with everyone.

  43. Q: Can you share one music production tip?

  44. A: Make your music sound great in recording and production phase , than go to mixing , I mean the arrangement is the name of the game.
