A: We are in the process of establishing our presence in the industry and building our portfolio. While we may not have specific client projects at the moment, we are fully dedicated to honing our skills and expanding our expertise. We are actively seeking collaborations and opportunities to work with talented artists and musicians to create exceptional music productions. Our focus is on delivering high-quality results and establishing long-term relationships with clients as we embark on this exciting journey.

A: While we haven't had the opportunity to work directly with other professionals on SoundBetter yet, we are open to collaboration and excited to connect with talented individuals. A: One valuable music production tip is to pay attention to the arrangement and structure of the song. A well-crafted arrangement with effective transitions, dynamics, and sonic variation can significantly enhance the impact of a track. Q: Analog or digital and why?

A: In the analog vs. digital debate, we believe in harnessing the best of both worlds. While digital technology offers convenience and flexibility, analog gear imparts a unique warmth and character to the sound. While we primarily work in the digital domain, we utilise high-quality plugins and software emulations that replicate the characteristics of analog hardware. This allows us to achieve a similar level of warmth and colour in our mixes while maintaining the benefits of digital precision and flexibility. Our focus is on delivering exceptional sonic results regardless of the tools used.

A: Our promise to clients is to deliver top-quality audio productions, attentively listen to their needs, provide timely communication, and ensure their artistic vision is realized. A: What we love most about our job is the opportunity to collaborate with talented musicians, witness the creative process, and contribute to the transformation of their music into a polished and impactful final product. It's incredibly rewarding to see an artist's vision come to life and share in their success.

A: Customers commonly ask us about our turnaround time, pricing, and how we ensure the confidentiality of their music. We respond by providing transparent information about our process, discussing project specifics, and assuring them of our commitment to delivering on time, respecting their budget, and safeguarding their artistic work.

Q: What's the biggest misconception about what you do?

A: The biggest misconception about what we do is that mixing and mastering can magically fix poorly recorded or produced tracks. While we can enhance the quality and balance of a song, it's crucial to start with well-recorded and well-produced material. We always emphasise the importance of capturing clean and high-quality audio from the start.

A: When engaging with prospective clients, we often ask about their musical influences, desired sound aesthetic, project timeline, and specific goals they want to achieve with their music. A: If we were on a desert island and could only take five pieces of gear, we would choose a reliable laptop with production software, plugins and VSTs, a versatile microphone, a high-quality audio interface, a pair of studio headphones, and a portable MIDI controller. These essentials would allow us to capture and create music even in a remote setting.

Q: What was your career path? How long have you been doing this?

A: We recently completed our Diploma in Sound Production at RMIT, which laid the foundation for our career in audio engineering. While we are just starting our professional journey, we have been passionate about music production

A: Our style can be described as a fusion of technical precision and artistic expression. We aim to create a balance between clean, polished sounds and emotive, organic textures. Our approach is adaptive, allowing us to tailor our style to the specific needs and preferences of each artist.

A: We would love to work with innovative artists who are pushing boundaries and challenging the conventions of music. Artists like Billie Eilish and Bon Iver inspire us with their unique soundscapes and artistic vision. A: We have a diverse musical background and are comfortable working on various genres. While we appreciate and have experience in genres such as rock, pop, hip-hop, electronic, and alternative, we are always excited to explore new musical territories and collaborate with artists from different genres.

A: Our strongest skill lies in our ability to translate an artist's creative vision into a polished and professional sound. We excel at understanding the unique characteristics of each genre and tailoring our approach accordingly. Additionally, our attention to detail, precise editing, and meticulous mix engineering contribute to our strong skill set.

We focus on achieving clarity, depth, and dynamics while maintaining the emotional impact of the music. Throughout the process, we maintain constant collaboration with the artist, valuing their input and feedback. We believe in a collaborative approach that ensures the artist's vision is fully realised and the final product exceeds expectations. A: Our studio setup is designed to deliver professional-quality audio productions. We have carefully selected a combination of essential equipment to meet the demands of remote work. Our setup includes reliable laptops, accurate studio monitors, essential audio interfaces, and a selection of high-quality microphones. We also utilize industry-standard software and plugins from companies like FabFilter, iZotope, and SSL to shape and enhance the sound.

A: As an audio engineer with a Diploma in Sound Production from RMIT, my primary focus is on providing exceptional mixing and mastering services for musicians and artists. With a keen ear for detail and a passion for enhancing the sonic quality of recordings, I bring out the best in each track, ensuring clarity, balance, and a polished sound.
