You're looking for someone who can make you sound amazing but doesn't have a crazy price tag. I don't have huge credits, I'm not a big name yet, but one thing is certain, I will make you sound amazing.
My job as a Producer and mixing engineer is to extract the idea you have in your mind and make it an incredible song. A song that will leave people impressed by the quality and leave the listener in awe at what they just listened to.
As a Producer, I work with voice + instrument demos and make them into full productions. Vibe is an important element to me and cannot be skipped when creating art. I love collaborating with you, the artist in order to bring your vision to life.
As a mixing engineer, the key is to know how to listen and understand what the song is trying to be. Once that's done, the next step is to bring the song to life. Make it full, dynamic, rich, modern, and alive.
No corners cut policy and revisions on tap. I won't quit until your song is perfect.

Endorse Brodie LarocqueAn incredible engineer/producer with the experience and track record to prove it. Booking with Brodie is not only a statement of your art, but of your future development as an artist as well. Don’t make the mistake of not working with this guy!
I first met brodie years ago, after searching to find a producer in the new city I had just moved to. Within the first session I could tell that he was talented. I usually work fast and sometimes have trouble finding the way to explain a feeling or express an idea, but somehow he always knew how to express it for me. He truly has a heart & mind for producing and if you give him a shot, you'll be blown away. I can't imagine myself finding another producer to work with if I came back to music
If you want someone to capture your vision your sound! This is your guy. Super professional very knowledgeable and patient. Set up a call with him and you’ll see for yourself 😉
Brodie produced my son, Evan Assadi (Xsaddi), and we will always be grateful for his amazing mentorship of our young artist. The studio was Evan’s happy place because he knew he was respected and listened to, and that his artistic voice and vision mattered. In creating that safe artistic space, Brodie was also able to guide him out of his comfort zone so his style could evolve. It was amazing what they accomplished in just a couple of years and we’ll always be grateful that Evan had this opportunity to really showcase his talent. Thank you, Brodie, for your energy, skill and friendship!
Brodie is an amazing producer and sound engineer. He never fails to come up with unique beats and he is able to perfect instrumentals and vocals with incredible precision and attention to detail. He is also a wonderful person to work with and I thoroughly enjoyed being in the studio with hime every time I was there.
Brodie is an amazing sound engineer and producer. He works in an applied, rigorous and efficient manner. He is always attentive to the needs of the artist, and brings a song to a professional level. Would recommend 100%
Brodie has set the bar high for me. He is the only producer I work with for a reason. His skills and knowledge as a producer are tremendous, but his social-skills are really what makes him the best out here, for me. As insecure as one can get, Brodie seems to always have a way to create a safe-space for his fellow “recordees”. Mix his social skills with his producer qualities and you get more than you could ever hope for.
My five stars go to the human Brodie, but also to the Producer Brodie. I highly recommend him!
Great studio, owner is very kind and quite amazing at making you feel comfortable. I’m not super good with studio equipment, but he’s got expensive looking gear that will make your voice sound like Beyoncé’s. Amazing price for the quality you’ll get from the finished project. 11/10
Great Job, I truly recommend Brodie for all your project, he gives really good directives and the final product is GOLD.
Interview with Brodie Larocque
Q: How would you describe your style?
A: My style resembles Angèle, Charlotte Day Wilson, Drake, Frank Ocean and Snoh Aalegra
Q: Which artist would you like to work with and why?
A: Frank Ocean, because the music he makes really speaks to me on a spiritual level. The way he crafts songs is phenomenal and I really connect with his storytelling.
Q: Can you share one music production tip?
A: Keep it simple and work towards being consistent with results.
Q: What type of music do you usually work on?
A: My top genres are Pop, RnB, Hip Hop, and Folk.
Q: What's your strongest skill?
A: My strongest skill is my ability to listen. I understand that my job is to provide the canvas and the paint, but that I lose my raison-d'être without proper collaboration with an artist.
Q: What do you bring to a song?
A: What I bring to the table is the ability to translate and materialize what the artist has in their mind in either a transparent or colored way. I am adaptable to the artist and have worked in a variety of genres. I can therefore easily and masterfully respect a fully thought-out song OR participate heavily in the crafting of this idea.
Q: What's your typical work process?
A: The first step in my process is to greet the artist in my demo studio so I can get a sense of what the vision is for this song. I then compose the arrangements and create the soundscape for this project. After that, we track the vocals, hire musicians and get a final composition that we record at the big studios (SSL, API, Neve, 1176, you name it). Then, I mix the song and get revisions from the artist to hone into that perfect sound. I go back and forth with the artist and their team until all parties are happy and then it moves on to Mastering, following the same revision process.
Q: Tell us about your studio setup.
A: I work out of a sound-treated mixing/vocal tracking studio where I do the majority of my tracking, demos, and production work. I also work out of Raven Street studios and Audiovalley (the biggest studios in Ottawa) for final tracking and printing.
Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?
A: Ian Kirkpatrick's creativity, Timbaland's groove, Sylvia Massey's ingenuity, Frank Ocean's attention to detail, and Noah Shebib's work ethic.
Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.
A: I most often work on full songs with artists. They bring a voice + instrument and a general idea, that doesn't need to be fully fledged out. I take that idea and work with the artist to get the sound, vibe, and finished product that they were dreaming about.
