Jon is a bassist, ukulele player, songwriter, and educator who performs live with several Chicago-based artists.

Jon also freelances worldwide as a session and live artist on bass and ukulele, and in his 40+ year career has played alongside many of rock and jazz’s greatest artists, recently playing upright bass for Billboard’s No. 1 Hot 100 single artist of all time; Chubby Checker (“Lookin for Me” 2016).

Part of generations-deep family of professional musicians; Jon attended the Berklee College of Music; was Miles Davis bassist Ron Carter’s first student at the City College of New York; was the Musical Director for Princess Cruises’ Love Boat Orchestra, and has performed on thousands of records, jingles, and live performances.
