Q: What was your career path? How long have you been doing this?
A: I’m Samuele Meo, I have gained a lot of experience on stage as FOH Engineer and in the recording studio. I analyze every detail meticulously and for me everything has to sound in the right way otherwise I don’t go forward. My best skills: Mixing, Mastering, Recording, Audio Editing. --- I’m Daniele Meo, I’m a creative mind, I have much experience in the songs production and in the arrangements in several genres. Over the years I published my music with several record labels, including Blanco y Negro Music, Warner Music, ZYX Music and Edel. My best skills: Production, Audio Editing, Mixing, Mastering.
Q: Tell us about a project you worked on you are especially proud of and why. What was your role?
A: We made from scratch a commercial jingle for a large chain of Italian hypermarkets and we are very proud to listen our work while we shop.
Q: What are you working on at the moment?
A: In addition to various mixing and mastering sessions we are working on the creation of corporate background music tracks for different companies.
Q: Is there anyone on SoundBetter you know and would recommend to your clients?
A: We are new members on SoundBetter and we hope to gain the trust of many customers. In the future we hope to know and recommend many pro.
Q: What questions do customers most commonly ask you? What's your answer?
A: We respond to any questions and we are always available to our customers.
Q: What questions do you ask prospective clients?
A: Before starting any job we like to know our client better, we ask him if he has some reference tracks that you think will help us, and then of course there are also technical questions. We appreciate the sincerity in judging our work because we want her to be happy of our final product.
Q: What do you bring to a song?
A: We always try to give a soul to every project we are working.
Q: Analog or digital and why?
A: The important thing is the end result and not the means.
Q: What's your 'promise' to your clients?
A: We work with passion and making no distinctions on the budget we always try to give our best to satisfy clients expectations.
Q: What do you like most about your job?
A: When you do what you love in life, you don't call it "work"... And this is the most beautiful thing.
Q: What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?
A: Not only look at the equipment and the credits. Listen the works and judge if it's right for you.
Q: Can you share one music production tip?
A: Less is more.
Q: What type of music do you usually work on?
A: We are at ease on so many different genres: pop, rock, hip hip, dance, world, cinematic and more. From every genre we can learn and experience something new and for us this is the best coach to mix and master.
Q: What's your strongest skill?
A: We are perfectionists and we never give up until a track does not sound like we want.
Q: What's your typical work process?
A: We use world-class analog modeled plugins that allow us to have the sound of the best outboards like mixing consoles, preamps, compressors, equalizers, tape machines and more. We analyze all the sounds and try to understand what are the most important to be highlighted in the various points of a song. We are very careful to balance all the frequencies in the most musical way possible.
Q: Tell us about your studio setup.
A: We have a powerful and silent workstation, expertly assembled with the best components on the market, which guarantees the highest reliability and performance. The heart of our software system is the sequencer Cubase.
