Interview with Delete my account
Q: What type of music do you usually work on?
A: Indie pop, yacht rock, alt-country and synth pop
Q: Tell us about your studio setup.
A: I work from my home studio at Autoland Audio, a professional recording studio in Montreal. My home setup is great for recording synths (I love my Juno 106), DI'd tracks, and just getting ideas down. I use the studio to record drums, acoustic guitars, amp cabs and Rhodes, as well as to re-amp DI'd tracks as needed. Here's a full studio gear list for the studio: https://autolandaudio.com/gear-list/
Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?
A: Steely Dan, Weyes Blood, Alex G, Destroyer, Sade, Prefab Sprout, Roxy Music, Bob Dylan, Oneohtrix Point Never, War on Drugs, D'Angelo, Cocteau Twins, Blue Nile, Judee Sill, Michael Franks, Video Age, Michael McDonald, Joni Mitchell, Thundercat
Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.
A: I help my clients take a rough song idea and turn it into a fully-produced track that's ready for mixing. I can help out with songwriting, arranging and recording instrumentation, sitting-in as a session player (bass, guitar, synths, drum programming), and any comping/editing that's needed.
