LukeGabriel on SoundBetter

I create music that is pleasant to da soul and ears 😌

Born and raised in Chandler, Arizona, LukeGabriel's music has been influenced by many artists such as Mac Ayres, Usher, Ne-Yo, Justin Bieber and other popular R&B artists throughout the years. He's loved to sing ever since he was a child and recently picked it back up after a short hiatus in middle school. He found his passion for singing when joining his high school choir in his sophomore year of high school. Now, Luke is enjoying his life taking a day at a time.

Interview with LukeGabriel

  1. Q: Tell us about a project you worked on you are especially proud of and why. What was your role?

  2. A: My first album. I loved every moment of creating it and doing all the nitpicking. Listening to the lows, mids, and highs. Just appreciating what I made.

  3. Q: What are you working on at the moment?

  4. A: Making it in the music industry! Living off a stable income.

  5. Q: Is there anyone on SoundBetter you know and would recommend to your clients?

  6. A: N/A

  7. Q: Analog or digital and why?

  8. A: Digital is the wave baby But analog is how I learned everything, so analog definitely holds a place in my heart.

  9. Q: What's your 'promise' to your clients?

  10. A: To make it sound as professional as possible.

  11. Q: What do you like most about your job?

  12. A: That I'm able to actually do what I love for a living.

  13. Q: What questions do customers most commonly ask you? What's your answer?

  14. A: If they ever want to collab. I'm very hesitant to collaborations, but I think when the time comes I'll definitely break out of my shell for sure.

  15. Q: What's the biggest misconception about what you do?

  16. A: That it's easy. The work I do is never easy. It may seem easy to learn, very hard to master. I am also very self-critical when it comes to my work, so I have to remind myself that it's okay to make mistakes (as long as they're good lol).

  17. Q: What questions do you ask prospective clients?

  18. A: What are you willing to do to make the production process smoothly?

  19. Q: What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?

  20. A: Make sure you're prepared, please read terms and conditions for more info!

  21. Q: If you were on a desert island and could take just 5 pieces of gear, what would they be?

  22. A: An acoustic guitar, some headphones, a microphone, my interface, and a vocal booth to sleep in and make music in lol

  23. Q: What was your career path? How long have you been doing this?

  24. A: Started choir in 4th-6th grade, didn't go to choir until 10th grade, did some pre-reqs for music therapy, COVID hit, wanted to become an audio engineer, completed the program under a year and a half. Now I'm making music full-time, hoping to find other people that can rely on me for fast production and workflow.

  25. Q: How would you describe your style?

  26. A: I bring a good amount of Usher in my voice. The way I work is in bursts, but know with a turnaround time of 5-7 days, I will get your work done.

  27. Q: Which artist would you like to work with and why?

  28. A: Justin Bieber 100%. Heavily influenced in his tracks. Really good artist.

  29. Q: Can you share one music production tip?

  30. A: Turn off the limiter lol If you wanna get better at music producing, find other people on YouTube like Kyle Beats, Gami, or Simon Servida to give you inspiration.

  31. Q: What type of music do you usually work on?

  32. A: R&B

  33. Q: What's your strongest skill?

  34. A: Singing? I also work pretty fast, but working fast doesn't always equal good. So I double check to make sure what I hear sounds good.

  35. Q: What do you bring to a song?

  36. A: I bring organic, authentic, good-sounding music.

  37. Q: What's your typical work process?

  38. A: I work from 1 PM to 8 PM. What I do depends on how I feel throughout the day. This includes: -Beat making -Songwriting -Music covers for my YouTube -Recording and mixing/mastering my original songs -Researching/watching other like-minded musicians/audio engineers

  39. Q: Tell us about your studio setup.
