I specialize in a unique production/writing style comparable to Labrinth, Billie Eilish, and AURORA.
Hello! I'm Sierra and I'm a pop producer, songwriter, and top liner with immense experience in songwriting and vocal performance. Many of my productions emphasize lush, layered vocal harmonies, heavy synth melodies, and a wide mix of percussions/world beats. I'm well versed in producing pop, however, I tend to favor the darker side of pop.
I strive to create a new, innovative, yet captivating sound with each project and I get excited to work with like minded artists! One of my specialties is arranging vocal harmonies, as voice is my first instrument.

Interview with Sierra Bohnet
Q: What are you working on at the moment?
A: Currently I'm working on a few client projects as well as writing an album for my artist project.
Q: What do you like most about your job?
A: The best part about my job is that it's a continuous creative outlet. I get to create art all the time. It's sick!
Q: What questions do you ask prospective clients?
A: What kind of music do you make? Who are your favorite artists? I normally ask about their timelines too.
Q: What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?
A: I'd say search for someone who not only matches your sound, but also matches your energy. I have so much more fun working with people who are awesome to be around.
Q: If you were on a desert island and could take just 5 pieces of gear, what would they be?
A: 1. computer 2. mic 3. interface 4. speakers 5. cookies
Q: What was your career path? How long have you been doing this?
A: I started out as a singer/songwriter and my path was to become an artist, which I have done. Not only have I become an artist, but now I help others find their sound. I started learning production at Berklee College of Music and then I switched into the production major. Since then I've just been tweaking and trying to master my craft. I've been producing for about 3 years.
Q: How would you describe your style?
A: My style is very ethereal yet dark. I love working with big drums and dark bass but at the same time I really like creating an angelic atmosphere.
Q: Which artist would you like to work with and why?
A: I would kill to work with Grimes. Her artistry is unmatched both as a writer/producer and a visual artist.
Q: Can you share one music production tip?
A: Do something crazy
Q: What type of music do you usually work on?
A: I usually work on pop/dark - pop tracks
Q: What's your strongest skill?
A: My strongest skill is being innovative. I also specialize in epic/catchy choruses.
Q: What do you bring to a song?
A: I bring my sound to a song. My sound is distinct and usually I am asked to produce a track for that reason.
Q: What's your typical work process?
A: Typically a client will bring me a song and I'll start be listening and comparing the song to some reference tracks and then I'll start producing.
Q: Tell us about your studio setup.
A: Right now, I've got a standard bedroom studio setup with Hs8's, an Apollo twin interface, and an Ashton Origin mic.
Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?
A: I'm inspired by AURORA, Florence + the Machine, Banks, Muse, and many many more.
Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.
