Ethan Hein
I work for the NYU Music Technology and Music Education programs, where I research, design and teach classes on audio production. I specialize in using Ableton Live and other software to help singer-songwriters sound fresh.
I create beats and instrumentals, write, arrange and produce. I play guitar, mandolin, harmonica and a few other things, but most of my work the past few years has been with MIDI and samples. My sensibility runs the gamut from raw funk to cutting-edge abstract electronica, and I'm at my best in the midpoint between those two. I can help you find the right groove for your song, the right atmosphere, and the right unique soundscape. I also teach songwriting, production and music theory.
