Interview with VINCE AUDIO

  1. Q: What's your 'promise' to your clients?

  2. A: That I will go above and beyond to achieve and provide a mix that satisfies the client's wishes.

  3. Q: What do you like most about your job?

  4. A: Being able to immersive myself in every single layer of a song and manipulate those layers into a cohesive aesthetic. Then listening to the final product is also one of my favourite parts of the process.

  5. Q: What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?

  6. A: Cheap doesn't mean bad and expensive doesn't mean good. It's about finding who's the best match to work on your music.

  7. Q: What was your career path? How long have you been doing this?

  8. A: I've had interest in music production for the last 10 years. That has slowly and smoothly developed from producing songs for my projects to working with for other artists.

  9. Q: How would you describe your style?

  10. A: Precise focus on naturality.

  11. Q: Which artist would you like to work with and why?

  12. A: Karnivool. Their music covers a lot of ground in terms of genres, feelings and dynamics. It's heavy, beautiful and musically interesting while also not being technically over the top. The songwriting and lyrics speak a lot to me.

  13. Q: Can you share one music production tip?

  14. A: If it feels right, then it is right, no matter how you achieved it.

  15. Q: What type of music do you usually work on?

  16. A: In my own time I work mostly on rock and metal, but I've also been hired a lot to work on acoustic/folk.

  17. Q: What do you bring to a song?

  18. A: Energy, lush and character

  19. Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?
