My name is Tom, and I have been involved in music for over 10 years, ranging from performing and writing, to the last four or five years becoming more involved with recording, editing, and mixing, leading to me setting up Porter Studios.
I use Reason Studios as my DAW, and have a range of software plugin effects, EQ's, and compressors, as well as an extensive range of hardware effects. I also use iZotope RX10, Steinberg WaveLab, and iZotope Ozone 9 for audio restoration and Mastering Music, and Mastering audio for TV/Film

Interview with Porter Studios

Q: Analog or digital and why?
A: Both, there's absolutely nothing wrong with digital and gives you great versatility, but I do have some analogue gear that I wouldn't be able to get digitally.
Q: What type of music do you usually work on?
A: I work on a variety of music styles, but mostly focus on alternative/indie, and electronic.
Q: Tell us about your studio setup.
A: My studio is based around Reason Studios 12 as my DAW supplemented by a range of hardware and software. In addition I use WaveLab for Mastering and editing audio to film, iZotope Ozone 9 for some Mastering purposes, and iZotope RX10 for audio restoration. I have an extensive range of instrument and effect plugins. I have a range of Microphones to suit different voice styles, and for different types of production.
