Need help recording your songs? I’m an indie pop/folk producer, songwriter, guitarist, and drummer (plus basic piano/synth skills) looking for singers and songwriters who need help recording their songs. Back in the day I was also the guitarist for an alt-country artist signed to Tom Waits’ label (fancy!).

I’ve recorded myself and my friend’s projects for 30+ years, I’ve been the guitarist in professional studios, and I thought it would be fun to branch out and help some people in the Philly area record their songs. I can play guitar, help find good harmonies, play bass, piano, synth, and drums on the tracks. And I’ve got all the equipment we need to make a good-sounding recording in my home.

There are two things that set me apart from other producers:

1) I bring sensitivity. There are so many ways we all get in our own way when trying to be creative. We knew how to joyfully create things when we were kids, and then we grew up and sometimes forget how to be easy and fun when making things. I spend a lot of time helping people be more free in their spirits and their bodies and their voices in my day job — so I thought it’d be fun to branch out and try it with music too.

2) I will be wildly inexpensive. I’m not looking to make this my job. What I am looking for is a collaboration where everybody feels good and heard and the songs turn out beautifully. Of course there will be difficulty — I’m no stranger to that in the music-making process! But I want this to be therapeutic and fun and inspiring. So I have to be genuinely excited about and connect with your music in order for me to agree to work with your project. Which is as it always should be, really!
