Boutique amp tones, mix-ready

Real Amp Recordings on SoundBetter

I deliver mix-ready guitar tracks using real boutique amps, premium microphones, and a Neve/API front end — captured through Burl and Symphony conversion for tone that instantly elevates the song.

I’m a remote session guitarist specializing in high-end, mix-ready tones recorded through real boutique amps and a premium analog front end. My studio features a full amp wall (Marshall Plexi, Victory, Friedman, Audio Kitchen, Vox, Tone King, Benson, Matchless, Two-Rock, Silvertone, Fender), captured with mics like the U47, U87, Royer R-121, AEA R88, and Neumann/Neve/API pres into Burl B2 and Apogee Symphony conversion. All amps are routed through a my switching system for instant multi-tone setups, and I deliver clean DI, modern multi-mic blends, and layered parts ready to drop straight into your mix. Whether you need pristine cleans, edge-of-breakup chime, huge stereo ambience, or tight modern rock rhythms, I can deliver fast with professional consistency.

Interview with Real Amp Recordings

  1. Q: What are you working on at the moment?

  2. A: A global Netlfix intro project.

  3. Q: Analog or digital and why?

  4. A: Combination of both because there is no denying both of their strengths. They play real well in the sandbox together if you let them.

  5. Q: What's the biggest misconception about what you do?

  6. A: That great guitar tone comes from plugins alone. Real amps, real mics, and a strong performance make a huge difference in how a song feels. My job is part guitarist, part producer — shaping tones that fit your track perfectly.

  7. Q: What questions do you ask prospective clients?

  8. A: I ask what vibe they want, what references they love, and what role they want the guitar to play in the mix — lead, rhythm, texture, or atmosphere. The clearer the direction, the better I can tailor the tones and performances

  9. Q: What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?

  10. A: Listen to their work and pay attention to how the guitar sits in the mix. Great tone isn’t just about amps — it’s about feel, consistency, and how well the parts support the song. Hire someone whose tones elevate the track, not just fill space

  11. Q: If you were on a desert island and could take just 5 pieces of gear, what would they be?

  12. A: A 1959 Les Paul standard, a quality 1/4” cable, a juicer style compressor, reverb and an original fender tweed (provided the island has power).

  13. Q: Can you share one music production tip?

  14. A: Build your mix around the emotional center — not the loudest instrument. Decide what the song feels like, then shape every tone and part to support that

  15. Q: What type of music do you usually work on?

  16. A: Rock, singer songwriter, southern rock, blues, ambient and soundscapes

  17. Q: What do you bring to a song?

  18. A: Character, heart and feeling. I bring texture, energy, and mood. Gutars that make the song feel bigger, deeper, and more alive

  19. Q: What's your strongest skill?

  20. A: My ability to create authentic, high-end guitar tone with feel, and build the technical signal chain around it lending flexibility to the artist and mix engineer.

  21. Q: Tell us about your studio setup.

  22. A: Full Pro Tools Ultimate setup. I record ftom a full wall of vintage and boutique amps. Neve/API preamps, U47/Royer mics, and the Burl/Symphony converters for rich, authentic tones you can’t get from plugins. My switching system lets me deliver multiple real-amp flavors fast—perfect for producers needing mix-ready guitars that stand out.

  23. Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.

  24. A: Mainly Lead. Happy to do rhythm electric and acoustic guitar. I lean in to southern blues rock style. Think black crowes and slash style lead. If you’re into pop think slash solo style over pop
