Ten years of mixing & mastering experience currently working at The Mastering Palace in New York. I have provided beat making and recording services for the last seven years. I have been trained at NYU's Clive Davis Institute of Recorded Music by professionals in the industry specializing in mixing and mastering.
Hello! My name is Drew Keating and I provide mixing, mastering, and production services as Amaraaudio LLC. I have been working with clients in New York and abroad for the last 5 years utilizing my professional training acquired from the Recorded Music program at NYU. I have recently been able to work alongside some of my idols at a mastering house on 121st street called The Mastering Palace owned by Dave Kutch. I have also had professional experience working as an assistant engineer at Digital Island Studios located on W 26th. I began playing cello at age four and eventually transitioned from my classical training to jazz studies which brought me closer to my interest in making sample based hip-hop music in high school. With friends of mine we were able to establish a hip-hop collective titled Illegal Advisory for which I had produced and recorded the majority of our discography. After high school I continued to study the craft of music production honing my skills in mixing and mastering at NYU. I have worked as a freelance producer and recording engineer for Cambodian hip-hop label Klapyahandz for which I had the honor of doing an artist in residency this past summer. My Cambodian heritage has inspired me to pursue my own artist journey creating and writing hip-hop music utilizing samples from traditional and popular Khmer music.
