Arrangement is what I do best, always with the underlying question: what would serve the song? As a producer, I take the song you've created (lyrics, melody, chords, etc.) and carve out its full potential. In its fullest expression that means a finished mastered product, or it could be just one step along the way, like pre-production.

My biggest project thus far has been Erika Lamon's album Hues, a folk-rock album funded by the OAC, the CCA and FACTOR. My current inspirations are Jack Antonoff (think Lana Del Rey, Taylor Swift's folk albums, Florence & the Machine) and Chilly Gonzales (Feist). I place musicianship above all else, both in production or songwriting.

My primary service is pre-production: we revise your songs (or song bits) together, discuss a creative vision, and create a demo of the arrangement. You can take this arrangement and record it with your crew, use its stems as part of your final product, or release the demo outright if you like it. The average is $200 per song for this service.

Additionally, I can oversee the production process: direct the studio sessions, coach the performers, perform guitars, bass, back vocals and some keys, and outsource what needs to be outsourced for your final track. The tone of the instruments and the articulation in a performance are carefully looked after. I can write sheet music on the fly for classically-trained session musicians. Most instruments are recorded in my studio, with the exception of drums. The average is $400 per song for this service. This includes overseeing mixing & mastering. I don't usually mix or master, though mixing can be negotiated.
