Mixdown of individual track stems:
Gain staging and balancing.

Artistic elements if wanted: Delays, FX, reverb, builds.
Plugins applied to musical elements where necessary.
Panning, stereo imaging, mono and stereo adjustments.
Automation where necessary.
Editing, timing, and correction of musical elements is not included but will be checked before the mixdown.

MASTERING
Emphasizing or reducing certain frequencies to balance the frequency spectrum.
Fixing problematic audio frequencies, phase issues, and frequency response imbalances.
Improving tonal balance by creating an even distribution of frequencies. A balanced frequency spectrum helps dynamic recordings translate on different playback systems.
Managing dynamic range, control transient spikes, and increase loudness. Dynamic range compression also “glues” each element into a cohesive whole.
Applying stereo enhancement to balance the stereo field and add dimension. Widening your mix will create a more focused low-end and help it sound bigger.
Cleaning up the frequency range from low-end rumble and harsh high-frequencies.
Increasing the perceived loudness with limiting to reach commercial levels (standard modern online streaming levels unless you particularly want CD quality).
The standard bit depth is 16-bit/44.1 kHz.
