Q: Tell us about a project you worked on you are especially proud of and why. What was your role?

A: A hybrid Indie/Pop single where I handled full production, mixing, and mastering. I took a simple acoustic guitar demo and elevated it into a dynamic track with synth textures, deep bass drive, and crystal-clear vocals. Seeing the single achieve great reception and playlist support made every detail of the process immensely rewarding.

Q: What are you working on at the moment?

A: Currently producing, mixing, and mastering a blend of modern Pop singles and Indie Rock tracks for international artists, focusing on massive vocal presence and punchy dynamic punch.

Q: Analog or digital and why?

A: Digital that sounds analog. Modern digital tools get you 95%+ of the way there with incredible speed, recall, and precision. High-end analog gear is great for that final 5% polish, but what matters most today is how you use your tools and the taste behind your ears, not having racks of expensive vintage hardware.

Q: What's your 'promise' to your clients?

A: Clear communication, total dedication to your vision, non-stop focus on quality, and a final mix/master that you feel 100% proud to release.

Q: What do you like most about your job?

A: Operating right at the intersection of technical craft and raw artistic creativity. Using technical precision to serve a purely emotional, artistic goal is the most rewarding part of what I do.

Q: What questions do customers most commonly ask you? What's your answer?

A: Honestly, clients rarely ask specific technical questions about gear or plugins. What they really want to know is whether they can trust me, if we're going to vibe well together, and if I truly understand their vision. My answer is always through action: showing genuine care for their music, keeping communication completely transparent, and making sure we are on the exact same page before a single knob is turned.

Q: What's the biggest misconception about what you do?

A: That mixing is just "fixing problems" or applying magic plugins. Great mixing is about enhancing emotion, building dynamic space, and highlighting great performances, not hiding bad ones.

Q: What questions do you ask prospective clients?

A: What are 2-3 commercial songs that capture the vibe, mix balance, or tone you're aiming for? Which element in this song is the "hero" that needs to shine above all else? What is your target release schedule or deadline?

Q: What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?

A: Come with 2 to 3 solid reference tracks, properly labeled multi-track stems, and a clear vision of the emotion you want your song to evoke. Clear direction allows us to spend 100% of the energy refining tone, energy, and detail.

Q: If you were on a desert island and could take just 5 pieces of gear, what would they be?

A: Assuming a real desert island has no wall outlets, I’m going 100% acoustic: An acoustic guitar, piano, bass, drum kit and an ukulele (for the island vibe haha). That way, I can keep writing and arranging without worrying about battery life!

Q: What was your career path? How long have you been doing this?

A: I’ve been making music and working in production for around 20 years. I started as a multi-instrumentalist and songwriter before expanding fully into audio engineering and mixing. Over the years, I’ve collaborated with artists globally, taking raw concepts and turning them into commercially competitive records.

Q: How would you describe your style?

A: Organic, handcrafted, and real, yet punchy and modern. I aim for a bold, competitive sound without sacrificing the song's human soul, making sure it never feels like cold, sterile "computer music."

Q: Which artist would you like to work with and why?

A: Working with bands like The Killers, The Strokes, Arctic Monkeys, Charlie Puth, Phoebe Bridgers, or Drew Holcomb & The Neighbors would be a dream. Whether it’s stadium-sized indie rock energy, immaculate pop production, or raw, honest songwriting, collaborating with artists who have such a distinct, strong musical identity is the ultimate creative thrill.

Q: Can you share one music production tip?

A: Get it right at the source and don't rely on "fixing it in the mix." A lot of beginners record a subpar take thinking the mix engineer will save it, or write a weak arrangement expecting the recording process to magically fix it. Every single stage of production (songwriting, arrangement, tracking, and mixing) needs to deliver excellence on its own. When every layer is already great at the source, the final result turns out awesome.

Q: What type of music do you usually work on?

A: Modern Pop, Rock, and Indie: ranging from clean commercial pop tracks to punchy indie rock and modern acoustic/electronic hybrids.

Q: What's your strongest skill?

A: Crafting punchy, vocal-forward mixes with a tight dynamic low-end that translates effortlessly everywhere, from high-end studio monitors to phone speakers and earphones.

Q: What do you bring to a song?

A: A multi-instrumentalist’s ear paired with technical precision. Because I actively play guitar, bass, keys, and drums, I don’t just process frequencies, I listen to groove, arrangement, and emotional payoff. I bring clarity, energy, and a polish that serves the heart of the track.

Q: What's your typical work process?

A: I start with a clear alignment call or message to discuss vision, reference tracks, and vibe. Once files are received, I clean and organize tracks (utilizing RX 12), craft a dynamic mix balance, and sculpt tone and depth. I deliver a polished v1 draft for collaborative client feedback, refine through structured revisions, and finish with final mastering and complete stem delivery.

Q: Tell us about your studio setup.

A: My hybrid setup is anchored around Ableton Live 12 Suite and RX 12 Audio Editor running through a PreSonus Studio 1810c interface. Monitoring is handled on PreSonus Eris E4.5 alongside multi-headphone reference checks (Sony MDR-7506, AKG K77, AirPods 4). For instruments, I play a Martin Dreadnought acoustic, Epiphone Wildkat electric, and Fender/Tagima bass, complemented by dynamic processing from SSL, Auto-Tune Pro, iZotope Ozone 12, and Line 6 Helix Native.

A: I’m deeply inspired by producers and engineers who bridge organic performance with modern electronic precision, names like Manny Marroquin, Chris Lord-Alge, Michael Brauera. I admire professionals who always put emotional impact and song narrative ahead of over-engineering.

Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.

A: I specialize in mixing, mastering, and full music production for Pop, Rock, and Indie artists. My main focus is taking raw multi-tracks or bedroom demos and elevating them into radio-ready, commercially competitive releases with full stems and flawless translation across all playback systems.
