Job well done!! he helped us thru some issues and got us back on track. Use him!! you'll be glad you did!
I have been working with Aurélien Michaud since over a decade. We have been working together as producers and musicians, but I also had the chance to have Aurélien working on the mastering of some music projects, for instance the track Conclusion by Inferno. Aurélien has great listening skills to hear about your needs and wishes, and most importantly he will use his razor-sharp ears when working on your track(s) to improve their sound. Finally, he knows how to work quickly which is delightful.
Interview with Aurélien Michaud
Q: What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?
A: Communication is key. Don’t be afraid to ask questions and provide as much information as you can. We are in the industry where too much said is better than no words at all. Take advantage of that, your project will benefit greatly from it!
Q: What was your career path? How long have you been doing this?
A: I have been involved in multiple musical projects since 2007. First as a drummer for different bands, then as a multi-instrumentalist for various commercial projects, solo or with other people. Along the way, I’ve learned how to record, mix but especially master music. I have also studied composing for pictures my whole musical career.
Q: Can you share one music production tip?
A: Don't get caught up on the details. Focus on the big picture and think about what you would like your project to be as a whole.
Q: What's your strongest skill?
A: I’m quite good at finding out the emotional triggering factor of a project I am working for. The element people will resonate with. My ultimate goal is then to work around that factor and enhance it through sonic wonders.
Q: Tell us about your studio setup.
A: I work out of my own studio located in southwest France, and I try to keep things as minimalistic as possible in there. No show-off gear for the sake of it, I only use tools that I know will make the music shine.
