A very long time ago Simon of the Desert (Simon Gillham) was one half of cult 80s pop duo Intaferon, whose Get Out of London is now firmly established as a cult classic. In even earlier times he played bass and recorded with Colin Newman of Wire. These days writes and sings songs and teaches Philosophy, sometimes at the same time.
