Interview with Zhangxiang

  1. Q: What's the biggest misconception about what you do?

  2. A: Need to have many devices to create great music? No, the one who can make great music first depends on the person who made the music.

  3. Q: What do you like most about your job?

  4. A: What I pursue is something eternal in spirit, not something material,

  5. Q: What questions do you ask prospective clients?

  6. A: What styles of music do you want to integrate? Which artists' music do you like? (Who are you favorite singers and musicians?) Who are your LEAST favorite singers and musicians?

  7. Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.

  8. A: I take their ideas and their vision for a piece of music and turn it into a reality, I specialize in producing Hip Hop and Trap and EDM and Pop influenced music, There are two main lines of work. One is making the beat from the scratch by artist's request so that he or she could write to it. Another one is creating the instrumental for a song that artist has already written and has a draft/sketch of. In this case I would make sure to convey and amplify the message and make sure the idea really shines.
