What does a Harvard rapper sound like? A bit of an obnoxious question, but I am just that: a nerd from Boston who fell in love with hip hop as a kid and nurtured that passion throughout my time in the Ivy League. While my music ranges from boom bap to trap to pop and everything in between, it's all unified by elite lyricism and catchy songcrafting.
Born and raised in Boston, Will C brings a New England flavor to New York boom bap, with cerebral wordplay and sardonic subject matter.
Will started writing raps at age 10, but really got his start in high school, posting written compositions and home-brewed voice notes onto online hip hop forums in the late 2000s.
As a college Freshman in 2012, Will helped found the Harvard College Rap Collective, Harvard’s first official student society for the creation and performance of hip hop music. (The group’s two mixtapes, “The Reading Period EP” and “Senior Week”, are available on SoundCloud under TheHarvardRapper.)
After graduating college, Will moved to New York and quickly got pulled into the city's legendary hip hop scene, cyphering with neighbors, performing around the city (Elsewhere Space, Silvana, Fight Klub), and collaborating with some of the New York's most advanced underground artists.
