Interview with Chris Love
Q: Analog or digital and why?
A: Both!
Q: How would you describe your style?
A: Pop and RnB, Country and Hip Hop. Clean, polished modern sounds with analog flavor
Q: Can you share one music production tip?
A: Work till it's right.
Q: Tell us about your studio setup.
A: I have a hybrid vintage analog/digital system. I used BAE 1272 Neve Pres, 1176, LA2A, Distressors, Bricasti M7, SSL buss comp and Dangerous D-box as well as Focal Twin6 Be's for monitoring. In the digital realm, I use pro tools, uad, slate, melodyne, waves, brainworx, fabfilter plugs. Mics include a vintage 1969 Neumann u87, Neumann 102, Akg 212's, akg d112, audix d2, sm7b, 57's and 58's.
Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?
A: Prince, Chris Lord-Alge, Butch Vig, Andrew Scheps, Justin Timberlake, Timbaland.
Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.
A: Typically an artist comes in with a vision of their song written on piano or guitar. I take that skeleton and bring it to life. I add all the instrumentation, help with arrangements and song structure, edit, mix and master the track.
I was the Producer, mixer, all instruments except pedal steel in this production
