GRAMMY Award winning artist and producer. Professional session singer and songwriter.
Hi. My name is Marshall. I'm an award winning artist, producer, and songwriter with years of experience as a session vocalist. I have spent much of my life working with songwriters, and count it an honor to be a part of your creation.
I excel at bringing emotion and heart to a lead vocal. Whether it's Country, Pop, R&B, or Soul - full of energy or intimate - I love telling the song's story.
Working with me is easy and enjoyable because I love what I do and I love people. My goals are simple - bring my best every time, and make you happy.
I'm available to record professional and emotive vocals for your project, write a top-line for an existing track, write lyrics, write chords and melody, help finish a song you've already started, and tune or even comp existing vocals for your project.
Looking forward to working with you. I've put an audio compilation together for you to sample - please take a listen. Feel free to reach out and connect about what you'e thinking - I'd love to hear from you. Just hit the contact button above.
Peace.

Marshall is one of the most soulful and intuitive singers I've ever worked with. He's got a great respect for the material he's given, while adding his interpretation, making it much better! He's an amazing musician with a great big heart and a lot of patience for an old dog like me. He's a real pro and I highly, highly recommend him.

Interview with Marshall Hall
Q: What are you working on at the moment?
A: Answering this question in this moment: I have 3 full demos waiting for me with BGVs and one that is a lead vocal only. Two are Country, one is Gospel, and the other is a lead over a choral piece.
Q: What's your 'promise' to your clients?
A: You'll get the best I have.
Q: What do you like most about your job?
A: Variety.
Q: What questions do you ask prospective clients?
A: Expectations. I want to know that I can meet them. I'm always hoping for repeat clients, and that only happens when they're happy.
Q: Which artist would you like to work with and why?
A: Several - but all for a similar reason. It would be an older artist simply because there would be more to learn and the stories would be amazing!
Q: What type of music do you usually work on?
A: I typically sing Country, Pop, Gospel, and Soul.
Q: What's your strongest skill?
A: Experience working both sides of a song - from writing to presenting.
Q: What do you bring to a song?
A: Heart. Music isn't music without it. Songwriters often say that a good song lives no matter what - that may be true to an extent, but a good lead vocal allows everyone to hear it.
Q: What's your typical work process?
A: When I'm working with someone for the first time, I like to get an idea of direction and settle on that together at the beginning. From there it's figuring out a key, breadth of vocal production, and how to deliver the tracks to me. I will then cut vocals and send a mocked-up mix with vocals up for potential revisions.
Q: Tell us about your studio setup.
A: Pretty simple but clean. I have two mics I love - A Peluso P-67 which has just been re-capsuled, and a Slate VSM ML-1. I use them both all the time depending on the project. I run through a UA Apollo interface and record into Pro Tools.
Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?
A: Artistically, I'm a huge fan of pop and pop/country music. From a strictly "I wish I could do that" point of view - the great mixing engineers. Hats off to you for taking the same tracks I just worked with and lifting them to a different place.
Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.
A: I'm most often asked to sing lead vocals for songwriters, or give overall vocal production to a project.
