6x Grammy Nominated, Platinum Certified LA Based Mixing and Mastering engineer. I work to bring your music to life and make it feel larger than life. I have worked with various artists including Justin Bieber, SZA, H.E.R., and Kali Uchis to name a few.

Hi! I'm Micah Pettit and I am an LA based Mixing and Mastering Engineer. I have had the opportunity work on some amazing projects, including Justice Triple Chucks Deluxe (Justin Bieber), S.O.S (SZA), Back of My Mind (H.E.R.), and Red Moon In Venus (Kali Uchis). All the knowledge and skills I've gathered in my time I want to bring to your art to help it become its best version!

I specialize in Pop, RnB, and Hip Hop, but also have a great deal of experience with various other genres!

My main goal is to make sure that my clients are in love with the work they are being provided, and am not satisfied until we reach that goal! I work to bring your music and work to the highest level it can be, but most importantly have it be something you are truly proud of.

If you are interested in working please don't hesitate to contact me! I look forward to working with you!

Would love to hear from you. Click the contact button above to get in touch.

Interview with Micah Pettit

  1. Q: Analog or digital and why?

  2. A: A bit of both. Analog adds character and vibe to a mix that is very hard if not impossible to get from just digital alone, but digital is more reliable and faster. I feel like a hybrid setup gets the best of both worlds.

  3. Q: What's your 'promise' to your clients?

  4. A: To bring your song to a place where you love it!

  5. Q: What do you like most about your job?

  6. A: I love the balance between the creative and technical aspects of it, and being able to do the thing I love most in the world for a living

  7. Q: What questions do you ask prospective clients?

  8. A: What is your vision for this project, and what influences/artists do you want your music to reflect

  9. Q: How would you describe your style?

  10. A: Vibe based, modern, and open.

  11. Q: What's your typical work process?

  12. A: I like speaking with my clients first to get and idea of the direction they want the project to go in, then I take time listening to the reference mix I receive so I can immerse myself in the song and determine where to start, then start working on it

  13. Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.

  14. A: I mix and master projects for most of my clients, but I also work closely with many of the producers on the tracks helping they dial in their sonics
