Top Session Drummer, 24hr delivery, 20 years drumming experience. I have supplied drums for Grammy nominated producers and worked with thousands of artists and producers from around the world. I have been an Online Session Drummer for 10 years.

I offer custom drum tracks as an online session drummer from my purpose-built home studio. If you are looking for real drums on your songs then look no further. It couldn’t be easier, send me your tracks, let me know your requirements and I will get the tracks recorded in just 24 hours*.

I will send you a stereo mix of the drums and also each individual microphone stem, recorded with pro microphones. You will receive each individual, professionally recorded drum stems, more than enough to have complete control over your drum mix. I have a variety of drums from Ludwig, SJC, Pearl and OCDP. In two pop/rock projects I produced, Jamie was hired to first interpret my direction and record his subsequent performance. In each case, he responded quickly, played with a nice vibe and recorded his work to my specs. I also found him to be quite agreeable in our communications. I look forward to working with him on still more projects!

I’ve had a great experience working with Jamie! I love his playing and how quickly he picks up on the groove of my songs. We sent him some demos with drums sketches and Jamie turned around each project within a day or so. He provided good quality recordings that were easy for my mix engineer to work with. I certainly plan to use him again!

Interview with Jamie Parks

  1. Q: What's your 'promise' to your clients?

  2. A: 100% client satisfaction or your money back!

  3. Q: What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?

  4. A: Trust in the process. There is no other advice I can give really. I've provided drum tracks for artists across the world with hundreds of 5* reviews.

  5. Q: What was your career path? How long have you been doing this?

  6. A: I've been doing this for 8 years now. It started as just a bit of fun with the goal to film covers. It naturally progressed to recording for friends bands and then I created a website to promote it. Things are great at the moment, I'm keeping busy and looking forward to the future!

  7. Q: Can you share one music production tip?

  8. A: Less is more! It's easy to overdo the mixing process but often you can loose a lot of the natural sounds you work so hard to capture.

  9. Q: What type of music do you usually work on?

  10. A: Genres do varry quite a lot! One moment I could be working on a country track and the next song could be power metal! I enjoy working on a variety, it keeps my work interesting. Having said that, I do feel at home with genres such as rock and metal, pop punk etc.

  11. Q: What's your strongest skill?

  12. A: I feel my strongest skill is my determination to give everything 100%. I'm not one for giving up or doing a half arsed job and client satisfaction is my ultimate goal. I also pride myself in my communication and drive to get projects completed in the quickest time I can. I don't mess around and I'm fully committed to my job!

  13. Q: What do you bring to a song?

  14. A: I bring something unique, something no one else can, and that is me! I have played in bands since an early teenager and recorded hundreds of songs. I know what works and what doesn't. Always play for the song!

  15. Q: What's your typical work process?

  16. A: From downloading the song I start by checking the sample rate and bit depth. I will then import the track into Pro Tools, lock in the tempo and create markers. From there I will crack on with the recording! Once I've completed the recording I will send a rough mix over to the client for their evaluation. From there I will either go back and make any changes necessary or prepare the files to send over.

  17. Q: Tell us about your studio setup.

  18. A: My studio is small but it packs a punch! I've got a fantastic drum collection to choose from, vintage and modern. I also have a great selection of mics to use. I really understand how my room works which is vital for recording drums.

  19. Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?

  20. A: My inspirations come from a variety of different musicians and genres. I'd say my style is a mixture of 90's and 00's drummers such as... Chad Smith, Dave Grohl, Joey Jordison and Travis Barker. I've recently been taking much more influence from drummers such as Jeff Porcaro and John Bonham.

  21. Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.

  22. A: The short answer is I provide real drums for their songs! It's not just about the sound of a real drum kit in a room, it's having myself, a human on the record. I either create the perfect drum track, follow exactly the drums that have been programmed or use the midi drums as a starting point to go off.
