Need a modern Hip-Hop & Rnb song? Love the new rap/sing thing that's been going on with hip hop trap and RnB? I've been told I have a Kanye, Future, Drake sound, and most recently the Weeknd. I know it's random but I'm just relaying the message. Read the process and follow the steps below.

The process

Step 1: Contact - Within 24-72 hours, I will email you to schedule a meeting via zoom or your favorite video chatting platform.

Step 2: Meeting 1 - Video meeting ( You & I ) - during our video chat/phone call I will ask you a few questions to make sure I understand exactly how you would like this song executed.

Step 3: Meeting 2 - The Producer & I will go over the game plan and the best way to execute it.

Step 4: Recording Mix and Master - From there, I will write, rehearse and record your custom-tailored song then the producer will mix and master it with your outcome in mind.

Step 5: Review - We will then review the notes taken from meeting 1 (what you asked for) and make sure it’s spot on.

Step 7: Revision (Optional) - If there are any changes you'd like to make to the final masters of the song this is where we’ll get it done.

Interview with Wilmarck

  1. Q: Tell us about a project you worked on you are especially proud of and why. What was your role?

  2. A: The Conscious album is great I touch on a lot of spiritual and personal development topics while keeping it sounding cool. It will neurolinguistically program those who listen to excel in all areas of their life while they're thinking that they're just listening to music.

  3. Q: What are you working on at the moment?

  4. A: My Album Conscious is 60% done

  5. Q: Is there anyone on SoundBetter you know and would recommend to your clients?

  6. A: Me lol

  7. Q: Analog or digital and why?

  8. A: Both. Digital is convenient. Record digital then have the engineer run it through analog its a significant difference.

  9. Q: What's your 'promise' to your clients?

  10. A: I promise to work diligently within reason to execute your vision.

  11. Q: What do you like most about your job?

  12. A: When I write a song that I know is a hit and that energy is transferred off to the customer. We do need any outside validation we organically know that it's a hit then and there.

  13. Q: What questions do customers most commonly ask you? What's your answer?

  14. A: Who influences you? (Answer above)

  15. Q: What's the biggest misconception about what you do?

  16. A: I haven't come across any significant misconceptions

  17. Q: What questions do you ask prospective clients?

  18. A: 1. What is your concept/vision for this song? 2. What themes would you like this song to contain? 3. Do you have a reason for wanting this song made (Tv, Film, etc)? 4. What mood/vibe do you want your song to have? 5. What content do you want the lyrics of the song to discuss? 6. Do you have examples of songs that you would want yours to resemble? 7. Do you have a particular structure in mind for this song? 8. What was the genesis for this song? 9. What goals do you have in your mind for this song to be considered successful? 10. Is this song for you or do you have another person/company in mind when asking for this song to be made? 11. Is there a certain song of mine that has a similar vibe to the song you want to have? 12. Why is this message or theme for the song important to you? Etc

  19. Q: What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?

  20. A: Questionaire and assessments are essential. If they don't have a list of questions that are designed to reveal the entire picture to try to capture with the music there's a low chance of a long-term professional relationship with the desired outcome

  21. Q: If you were on a desert island and could take just 5 pieces of gear, what would they be?

  22. A: Laptop, Mic, Headphones, Interface, Wifi Box

  23. Q: What was your career path? How long have you been doing this?

  24. A: I've been writing and recording since 12 years old. Learn more here: https://www.wilmarckmusic.com/

  25. Q: How would you describe your style?

  26. A: Conscious Trap & Hip-Hop

  27. Q: Which artist would you like to work with and why?

  28. A: Jay Z I believe that he has created the best hip-hop song I've ever heard until this day "Crown"

  29. Q: Can you share one music production tip?

  30. A: Use Online Resources No one should be expected to learn everything about music production on their own. Luckily for today’s producers, there’s a treasure trove of educational material available online. Whether you need DAW tutorials, beat-making tips, gear guides, or mixing help, chances are someone has covered the answer to your question already. Take a look online and find some resources you can turn to when you need a helping hand

  31. Q: What type of music do you usually work on?

  32. A: Modern Hip-hop, Trap, Trap Soul, Rnb

  33. Q: What's your strongest skill?

  34. A: Delivering the desired sound in a way that makes it your own. You will not be in Drake, Kanye, or Futures shadow you will compete with them in the same market.

  35. Q: What do you bring to a song?

  36. A: A professional holistic approach for the desired outcome.

  37. Q: What's your typical work process?

  38. A: Step 1 Contact - Within 24-72 hours, I will email you to schedule a meeting via zoom or your favorite video chatting platform. 39. Q: Tell us about your studio setup.

  40. A: I record "in the box." I use a Rode NT1-A mic, A Focusrite Scarlett 2i4 interface & Logic Pro X. I contract with recording engineers who mix my music to commercial and technical satisfaction.

  41. Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?

  42. A: MUSICAL INFLUENCES Lil Wayne - Carter 3 III, I Am Not A Human Being, Carter IV, I Am Not a Human Being II I doubt the idea of recording music would have occurred to me if it wasn't for Lil Wayne's hip-hop music. He truly is one of the greatest to ever do it. Eminem- The Marshal Mathers LP, Encore, The Eminem Show, The Slim Shady LP My first rap is written because of "8 mile" the movie. You may not hear his influence in my music but I can assure you his music had a huge impact on my reasoning to pick up a pen and beginning to rhyme words and statements. He's a true legend. Kanye - KIDS SEE GHOST, ye, The Life Of Pablo, Yeezus, Watch the Throne, My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy, 808s & Heartbreak, Graduation One of my favorite artist and always will be. You'll hear similar melodic intros, hooks, bridges, and outros that are heavily influence by Kanye on my album. Jay Z - The Blueprint III, Watch the Throne, Magna Carter... Holy Grail Magna Carter... Holy Grail the pinnacle of hip-hop music. I aspire to create that level of music one day. Beyonce - BEYONCE, Lemonade 2 of the greatest albums I've ever heard in my entire life. Again the pinnacle of urban music. The Production on both albums are not of this world. Check out my full list of influences here: https://www.wilmarckmusic.com/influences

  43. Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.

  44. A: Suppose you want a song that sounds like Drake, Kanye, or Future. First, we complete an assessment so I can get a holistic view of what you're trying to accomplish. I then write and record the song so that you have an easier time recording it yourself.
