Harminder was really good to work with and had a quick turnaround. The quality was also very high and I’m really happy with how the song turned out. He also went a little beyond what I asked in order to make sure the track could reach its full potential, which I also appreciated.
Harminder is an absolutely amazing person to work with and extremely professional in his work ethic. He has a very finely tuned ear as well as highly refined sensibilities when it comes to anything to do with audio, which makes him the perfect person to really take your music productions to that next level of finesse and quality. He helped my music stand out by giving it the personalized attention that it required and weighing in with his years of experience as a engineer. I highly recommend Harminder even if you have fairly good productions, he will take it to the finish line for you.
Harminder is easily one of the best engineers I've had the pleasure of working with. He takes a lot of care with properly balancing each element of the mix, and the end result is always something I can be overjoyed with. Will definitely be returning to work with him for future projects.
Great engineer that delivers fast but more important on point audio mastering to help your track going next level 👍🏼
I started working with Harminder based on a recommendation from someone I trust. It was a revelation. I wasn’t just looking for mastering engineer put a partner for my projects. He delivered something great and I am definitely using him again.
Working with Harminder was a real pleasure, not only was he very friendly, yet professional, he was able to provide clear feedback on what he needed from me as an artist to make sure the mix and master came out as clean and clear as possible. He provided nothing but quality in the masters, and honestly, my own music hadn’t made me feel the way it did after he worked his magic. He knows bass music incredibly well and I highly recommend his services for any mastering needs. I will be recommending Sonic Art to anyone who needs professional mastering done.
10/10Very professional end product, I couldn't of been more happy with the results. Harminder is a great guy and super friendly too, and I actually learnt a lot working with him
Working with Harminder is a very smooth and efficient process. His treatments are typically spot on from the start. He takes into account my vision for the song while adding his personal touches that elevate my music.
Interview with Harminder Dhanjal
Q: Analog or digital and why?
A: Hybrid because you get the best of both.
Q: Which artist would you like to work with and why?
A: I like to work with any artist, who is serious about their craft. These could be artists, who are established, or just starting out.
Q: What type of music do you usually work on?
A: I mainly work on underground dance records, but do not limit myself to any genre.
Q: What do you bring to a song?
A: I work closely with artists and offer advice on mixes to make sure a song is the best version of itself before being mastered. When mastering a piece of music, my job is to make sure that a song has a consistent sound whatever sound system it is played on. My philosophy is to ensure clarity, depth and loudness whilst retaining dynamics.
Q: What's your 'promise' to your clients?
A: My promise to clients is that you will have 100% of my attention when working on their music. I will not be happy until every artist I work with LOVES their music after I have worked on it. Collaboration is key and having an open channel of communication is vital and I ensure that I will always be available to discuss projects.
Q: What do you like most about your job?
A: Collaborating with artists and helping them to achieve the vision they had for their music.
Q: If you were on a desert island and could take just 5 pieces of gear, what would they be?
A: Laptop, Apollo Twin, SSL fusion, API
Q: Can you share one music production tip?
A: Flip the phase. If your bottom end doesn't sound right when all of your tracks are playing, or if you lose some punch, or low frequencies, which are there when you solo a track - for example in your kick drum - flip the phase. Do this before adding a ton of plugins and save yourself a lot of time and stress!
Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?
A: I am a huge fan of Tchad Blake. He is a master of his craft, who can create the texture and vibe needed to make music sound timeless.
Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.
A: I specialise in mastering music. Depending on the mix of a track, I offer stereo, or stem mastering.
