Drummer Engineer Producer

As an experienced drummer, Jay Carros is able to offer clients a wide range of services, including professional Drum Recording Sessions. Jay has recorded drum tracks for people all over the world in a wide variety of musical styles from acoustic to electronic. As an engineer / producer drum recording is Jay's area of expertise.

For starters, I would highly suggest listening to some of my recordings to see if we have a fit stylistically. If so, give me shout. If you're looking for a quick turnaround, I'm not the guy. If my name is going to be attached any project I want it to sound as best as I can make it. Depending on the song, usually within a week but may take longer. I've studied at Drummers Collective in NYC, and have also taken Music Recording and Production I, II, III, IV at SUNY Broome. I've recorded drum tracks for people all over the world. I'm featured on CD's in Japan, and recordings I've made are on rotation in radio stations as well. As far as the gear that I use, let's just say my recordings should speak for themselves. I do not believe that I am in any competition with any any other drummers, engineers, or producers. Everyone is trying their best. I play for the song and don't need to prove what I can do. My DAW of choice is Reaper. I use primarily acoustic drums drums, along with samples.
