Gus Barraca on SoundBetter

Together with my partner Quique Tejada, a former Universal Music Spain A&R, I co-founded Terra4, a platform aimed at assisting artists in expanding their fan base and achieving financial sustainability in their careers.

We help artists to be found by their audience, to grow their fan base so that they can live their dream: music.
We also partner with producers who appreciate the importance of adding value to their clients. If their artists grow, they grow. We all grow.

I'd love to hear about your project. Click the 'Contact' button above to get in touch.

Worked wit Gus on a track that is now repped by two licensing agencies. The man knows how to produce. Willing to do what’s necessary to get the song right!

Gus is an awesome person to work with. He carefully listens to the song and finds ways to build the best version of it while also honoring the author's vision. He has a great taste for modern sounds and also knows when to think outside the box. His mixes are clean and impactful, and his talents also extend to writing. He's truly a jack of all trades and a collaborator I keep coming back to!

  4. A: I'm working in developing a nice catalog for licensing.

  5. Q: Analog or digital and why?

  7. Q: What do you like most about your job?

  8. A: It's all about music and feelings. I love to serve people as well.

  9. Q: What questions do you ask prospective clients?

  10. A: I ask about goals, about styles and influences, about previous bad producing experiences. I try to get a clear map of needs and goals so we can set the right direction.

  11. Q: What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?

  12. A: The first thing is that we get to know each other and feel that we are on the same page. You have to feel that what I am going to bring to you has a lot of value to you, and I have to feel that "your story" resonates with me.

  13. Q: If you were on a desert island and could take just 5 pieces of gear, what would they be?

  16. A: At 16 I started a band where I learned to write and arrange songs. At 20 I got my first protools, and from then on I started to discover the wonderful world of production, where a small idea in your head became something beautiful that others could enjoy. This means, I've been like 25 years producing.

  18. A: Hard hitting cinematic rock/pop

  19. Q: Which artist would you like to work with and why?

  24. A: From pop to rock, and everything in between. Because I have a producing team, I can choose the right guy for the right song.

  25. Q: What's your strongest skill?

  26. A: Seeing the song as a whole and bring it to life, surprising and making the artist feel that this is his/her song.

  28. A: I always look for enhancing the artist vision. That's my main goal.

  29. Q: What's your typical work process?
