Ash Wood is a multifaceted musician based in Minneapolis, MN with fifteen years of violin training and experience. He possesses impressive and diverse performance and recording experience and creates jazz-like and orchestral melodies with electric violin, looping, keyboard, and effect pedals. Ash is a skilled classical violinist studying to complete a violin performance degree at the University of Minnesota. In addition, he plays and produces with a band named Kilofrax. Ash primarily plays classical, hip-hop, experimental, ambient, contemporary, and jazz genres, creating a perfect atmosphere for a multitude of songs.

What I Offer:
I specialize in violin recording and violin part composition. I can also create various bass, piano, and synth parts. I record with an electric violin with a piezo pickup, or with an acoustic violin with a direct mic and room mic. Alternatively I can combine these two recordings for a full and rich sound. Furthermore, I can create string ensemble-like recordings through multi tracking and audio effects.
