I work in my studio using top notch software and hardware in an ideal treated listening environment. I have worked with regional and state wide bands and artist, produced, recorded, mix and mastered several worship leaders and bandmates. I've been successful offering my studio and services to independent artists in Texas where it all began 8 years ago. I currently reside in Michigan where there is a huge music scene in the Greater Grand Rapids area and word of mouth has generated many clients to use my services. I own a recording studio called Harbor Studios and 911 Productions. I've had training with Musician On A Mission and certification with ASSR / Alan Parsons' Art and Science of Sound Recording. The DAW I love working with is Samplitude Pro X6 ( Pro Tools kept crashing ) and is compatible with all file extensions.

Interview with Harbor Studios

  1. Q: Tell us about a project you worked on you are especially proud of and why. What was your role?

  2. A: A Nashville guitarist and I worked together on one of the songs I have uploaded on this listing. We exchanged ideas, I put together a chord progression to start and we came up with "A Grind To Axe". He sent over his parts dry, I put in the fx, mixed and mastered the song.

  3. Q: What are you working on at the moment?

  4. A: My own piano/orchestral piece. I was inspired by a song by Dave Grusin called "The Heart Is A Lonely Hunter."

  5. Q: Is there anyone on SoundBetter you know and would recommend to your clients?

  6. A: I admit, I'm new here. I started on Fiverr and was meeting a lot of intermediate sellers.

  7. Q: Analog or digital and why?

  8. A: Analog gives good color to a sound, but once you color it- it's baked forever. I prefer digital. You can still acheive color in a sound, just a different color and you can always go back and change it if you need to.

  9. Q: What's your 'promise' to your clients?

  10. A: I'll always communicate clearly and guarantee their happiness.

  11. Q: What do you like most about your job?

  12. A: Frequencies just amaze me. Every sound is different on any song.

  13. Q: What questions do customers most commonly ask you? What's your answer?

  14. A: Can we hear some samples of your work? Yes we can!

  15. Q: What's the biggest misconception about what you do?

  16. A: I'm not aware of any. Everybody I'm associated with enjoys my work.
