Endorse Pat McCarthyBeen working with Pat for over 20 years and he just keeps getting better. Amazing player and great dude. First call bass player for sessions.
I have worked with Pat for years both on the road and in the studio. He not only plays bass, he writes parts, arranges, produces and just adds an overall creativity to anything you are working on. He is my go-to bass player for every project!
Pat has performed bass on many of my earlier recordings as well as in a live band with me, he added a dynamic that I didn’t know my songs needed. I’m grateful that we crossed paths when we did. Pat is an asset to any recording.
What sets Pat apart from the crowd is his balance of both soft & hard skills. His musical abilities allow him to share the stage with anyone out there & what makes Pat stand out from the rest is who he is off the stage. Patient & flexible, Pat is a consummate professional who puts 110% effort into everything he does. From building out show files in ableton to navigating the interpersonal relationship dynamics with artists, band and crew members when on the road, everything runs so seamlessly that you may not even notice until you intentionally take a closer look. Bottom line: 5/5 stars!
I first played music with Pat in a band in about 2004. We recorded two albums together in that band. His vision, along with the rest of the band, made me better as a musician. His ear for melodies was inspiring and his music direction on point. He had a knack for production even then. His musical taste is widely varied and always up to date.
We recorded an album, as the rhythm section for another artist. His attention to detail and ability to identify just the right feel were unparalleled. As a drummer, he was the perfect partner; laying it down in precise & dependable style. Recommended!
I've worked with Pat for over a decade. Time and time again, Pat has demonstrated a rare combination of musicality and the communication skills needed to bring projects to the next level.
As a musician, Pat's ears and tone are second to none. As a live performer, he delivers the right look and energy to meet the moment. Most importantly, as a collaborator, Pat seeks to understand your vision and works to get the best out of all involved.
Music is highly personal. Bringing it to life for an audience can feel daunting. However, with Pat, you are in good hands. 100% recommended!
Pat is a first class musician who always delivers a stellar performance. Reliable & creative, his playing is always dynamic & complimenting. Sharing the stage, writing & producing music with him has been one of the great pleasures of my career. It’s a thrill to see him touring & performing at historical venues all across the country. Get this guy on your next tour or record!
Pat McCarthy is the real deal. Born for music. Incredibly talented, he's a hard-working professional with a focused & easy-going personality. I count myself lucky to have recorded & performed live with Pat over the last 20+ years. He knows how to manage different personalities, brings that "something" chemistry to the creative process, and has great on-stage presence. I count him among the most talented, respectable and responsible of all the professional musicians I've ever known.
Pat is a true talent and a true professional. He always delivers and is great to collaborate with. He's a versatile and talented musician and performer. I consider myself lucky to have had the pleasure to share the stage and the studio with him.
Talented, Professional, and Reliable. Pat is a highly skilled musician-his attention to melody, structure and groove makes him a master of his craft and a true songwriting asset for any artist/band. His stage performance is also second to none, both personally and professionally, makes his contribution to the live touring experience invaluable. Highly recommend!
