Q: What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?
A: Let's try. Explain me Your idea and I'll work with passion on it for You.
Q: If you were on a desert island and could take just 5 pieces of gear, what would they be?
A: My Apple stuff, keyboard, headphones, something to drink (non-alcohol) and some sunglasses
Q: What was your career path? How long have you been doing this?
A: Almost twenty years
Q: How would you describe your style?
A: Jazzy
Q: Which artist would you like to work with and why?
A: Pharrell Williams. He is a genius in my opinion. He's so versatile and is a real five stars plus composer.
Q: Can you share one music production tip?
A: Leveling and balancing the sounds even before the process of going into the modeling of them..
Q: What type of music do you usually work on?
A: Any kind. It depends on the clients needs and requirements.
Q: What's your strongest skill?
A: Arrangements.
Q: What do you bring to a song?
A: My personale taste. I am an addicted to jazz, rhythm'n'blues, funky sounds. I try to have them as main reference even though I am facing any other kind of song (i.e. classical). Contamination is the spice of life.
Q: What's your typical work process?
A: A scratch, an idea, an inspiration and then it goes. A lot of energy in finding the best solutions that can make the song sound as I want to.
Q: Tell us about your studio setup.
A: Apple instrumentation as computer and operating systems. Logic PRO X and Ableton live as main DAW and tons of plug-ins and apps especially dedicated for production purpose.
Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?
A: I am inspired by simple solutions that can go straight to the goal the clients want to achieve. Study, study, study. Go in depth with the other producer's experience by reading stuff or taking a view at tutorials/classrooms etc.
Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.
A: I usually start from a draft idea bye the client and then develop it into a composition (melody and harmony) and an arrangement. I suggest three or four solutions of arrangements for the track, so the client can choose which one is suitable to his/her idea of the song. The I go into the production zone and do all the "dirty job" that's needed to have the track produced, mixed and mastered ready for distribution.
