My name is Chris, but people started calling me Kristián, so I went with it. I was born the U.S. and grow up most of my life in a Philly suburb. I spent a few years in Manhattan, New York when I was a toddler and also as a college student. In 2019, I graduated from Columbia University, majoring in anthropology and minoring linguistics. Once I got out of school, though, I found myself with no solid plan, unlike the rest of my friends.

My whole life, I always wanted to pursue music. I could always feel it tugging at my shoulder, but other things constantly distracted me, like finishing college, securing internships, trying to look for jobs, etc. I realized, however, that the only way I could truly pursue my dream was if I stuck a middle finger to all these other distractions in order to focus on what really mattered to me. And rather than having a well-paying job and living in a comfortable home, what really mattered to me most was to live an interesting life and create art.
