I cannot stress enough how lucky I am to have found and hired Shan. He gave my first track his all and completely transformed it from something I was mildly embarrased about - to a song I show all of my friends. Seriously, hire him. You will not regret it.
Working with Charlie was great , very talented guy - very professional and super nice. It was amazing to hear my song sounding like that. He was very patient and really understood what I was going for, even though most people might not understand my style.
Will be in contact again soon for the next project!!
Interview with SHAN
Q: What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?
A: Message me. I will listen to your music and give you genuine feedback, regardless of whether you hire me or not. I want to help :)
Q: What was your career path? How long have you been doing this?
A: I studied music at Oxford University, and decided I wanted to make this a living. Books just don't do it for me anymore!
Q: How would you describe your style?
A: Open. I have experience with a wide range of genres and styles, and I have a keen awareness of the nuances of each style, and can blend them together musically.
Q: What's your strongest skill?
A: Writing hooks that stay in your mind. I can instantly tell whether a melody will be catchy or not, and can assist with toplining (melody writing) if needed.
Q: Tell us about your studio setup.
A: I run with two Yamaha HS8s, using an SSL 2 audio interface and a pair of sundara open-back headphones for mixing. I record my vocals with a Lauten Audio LA-2A Condenser Microphone.
