  1. Q: Tell us about a project you worked on you are especially proud of and why. What was your role?

  2. A: I love all my projects, cause they are so different, everyone has valuable experience

  3. Q: What are you working on at the moment?

  4. A: I'm working over jazz improvisation

  5. Q: Is there anyone on SoundBetter you know and would recommend to your clients?

  6. A: No, I don't unfortunately , cause SoundBetter isn't popular in my country

  7. Q: Analog or digital and why?

  8. A: Digital record but analog preamps, it's very easy to work with one MacBook and audio interface, but preamp must be analog

  9. Q: What's your 'promise' to your clients?

  10. A: I don't promise, I try to do good work and show good results

  12. A: Freedom, creative

  16. A: Bass guitar ---it's easy to play, easier than 6 strings guitar

  18. A: It's questions about what they want to hear on the bass track, different nuances of the recording, tone and technical aspects

  19. Q: What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?

  20. A: Read the reviews at first, than listen the sound of musicians

  21. Q: If you were on a desert island and could take just 5 pieces of gear, what would they be?

  22. A: Bass guitar, MacBook, audiointerface, sun battery and modem for satellite internet

  23. Q: What was your career path? How long have you been doing this?

  24. A: I've been playing over 15 years, I graduated musical conservatory on Orchestral strings in Dnipro City, Ukraine, then go to capital -- Kyiv and work with local artists and bands from 2011 until now. I had North American and Canadian tour with one of the famous Ukrainian bands. You can find all my projects in You Tube -- Antytila, MamaRika, Paul Manondiese. I played in different projects --- reggae, salsa, rock, jazz bands.

  26. A: I like different styles, so even I don't know how to describe it)

  27. Q: Which artist would you like to work with and why?

  28. A: Charlie Puth, Rihanna, Dua Lipa, because they are making high quality pop music

  29. Q: Can you share one music production tip?

  30. A: It's just clean playing, and a little bit of compression)

  31. Q: What type of music do you usually work on?

  32. A: This is pop, latin music, rock, jazz

  33. Q: What's your strongest skill?

  34. A: I think it's communication and customer service --- I always give the clients more that they ask in orders

  35. Q: What do you bring to a song?

  36. A: I try to bring groove and something more than simply notes, something bass phrases that make the bass part groovy and special

  37. Q: What's your typical work process?

  38. A: I transcribe the track or try to play over it if clients send me bass scores, than I play and learn difficult places and record multiple takes

  39. Q: Tell us about your studio setup.

  40. A: I use Focusrite Scarlett 6i6, Logic Pro X for recording, also I use effect pedals -- Boss SYB-3, bass synth, EHX Bass Big Muff Pi -- bass fuzz, EBS Wah One, was pedal, BBE Sonic maximiser, Aphex bass exciter, EBS MultiComp. For upright bass I use piezo pickup Revolution Solo, custom made pickup special for double basses.

  42. A: Drummers, keyboardists, guitar players, saxophonists

  43. Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.

  44. A: I record bass guitar, fretless bass and upright bass, create and edit bass tracks.
