Q: Tell us about a project you worked on you are especially proud of and why. What was your role?

A: One project I'm especially proud of is a song we created for the Ukrainian representative at Junior Eurovision in 2021. I worked on the project as a topliner and songwriter, writing the music and melody. I still love this song and occasionally listen to it because it gives me a feeling of confidence and love for life. It was also a pleasure to work with such a strong team of professionals, and of course, the artist herself had an incredible voice and an amazing talent. I'm very proud to have been part of that project.

Q: What are you working on at the moment?

A: I'm currently working on new material for my own artist project, while also writing and producing for an R&B artist.

A: No, unfortunately

Q: Analog or digital and why?

A: Both. Digital tools make so many things possible and simplify the creative process. I can work with instruments, synthesizers, and sounds that would otherwise be incredibly expensive or impossible for me to access. At the same time, analog gear has its own character and charm. There are textures and qualities in analog sound that can be very difficult to recreate digitally.

Q: What's your 'promise' to your clients?

A: I will give every project my full attention and do my best to make something that both the client and I can be proud of. I genuinely care about the result.

Q: What do you like most about your job?

A: I can create music almost anywhere and at any time. I get to make a living doing something that genuinely feels like my dream life, and I never want to take that for granted.

Q: What questions do customers most commonly ask you? What's your answer?

A: Clients often ask if I can make something sound similar to a specific artist or reference. My answer is yes - references are extremely helpful for understanding the direction, mood, and sonic expectations. I use them as a starting point while still creating something original that fits the artist and the song.

Q: What's the biggest misconception about what you do?

A: I think the biggest misconception is that songwriting and music production are mainly about hard and technical skills. Those skills matter, but I believe the soft skills are often even more important: knowing how to communicate, truly listen to and understand people, and see who they really are. A good songwriter or producer should be able to put their ego aside and tune into the person and the world around them. It's about being receptive to what is happening culturally and emotionally, catching the most relevant ideas, and translating them into music - without forcing your own identity onto someone else's story.

Q: What questions do you ask prospective clients?

A: I usually ask what they want to achieve with the song, what kind of result they are looking for, who the song is for, and what artists or tracks they see as references. I also want to understand what they already have, what they like or dislike about it, and what they want the listener to feel.

Q: What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?

A: Choose someone who genuinely cares about the song, not just someone who can deliver the technical part. I always try to really listen to my clients, understand what they want to express, and put genuine care and attention into the work.

Q: If you were on a desert island and could take just 5 pieces of gear, what would they be?

A: My MacBook, a microphone, an audio interface, MIDI keyboard, and my Audio-Technica ATH-M50x headphones.

Q: What was your career path? How long have you been doing this?

A: I've been involved in music since childhood. I studied piano at music school, started writing songs at 11, and at 17 entered a music college as a jazz vocalist. At 18, I began studying arranging and music production. I've performed with a jazz big band, worked as an actress in a musical, and spent many years performing on stage with different cover bands. Since 2019, I've been working professionally as a songwriter, writing songs for other artists. I also studied songwriting at Musikmakarna in Sweden and participated in The Voice. I'm now 31, which means I've been writing songs for about 20 years. My experience across performance, songwriting, arranging, production, and different musical styles gives me a deep understanding of how music works both creatively and practically.

Q: How would you describe your style?

A: My work is mainly rooted in R&B, but I wouldn't describe it as pure R&B. I would call it alternative R&B with pop and electronic influences. I've been influenced by artists like Jamiroquai, Stevie Wonder, Earth, Wind & Fire, Tyler, the Creator, Mac Miller, Pharrell Williams, Kaytranada, and Disclosure, while also growing up with pop music from artists like Britney Spears, Charlie Puth, Dua Lipa, and Ariana Grande. All of these influences have shaped my musical identity, so my work naturally blends R&B, pop, electronic, and sometimes funk elements.

Q: Which artist would you like to work with and why?

A: Pharrell Williams. I am an absolute fan of his work. His music has influenced me since I was a child, and I even have a tattoo inspired by N.E.R.D. — “No One Ever Really Dies.” I would be incredibly excited to spend time in the studio with him, see how he approaches the creative process, and contribute to it.

Q: Can you share one music production tip?

A: Listen to a lot of music - and don't just listen passively. Analyze it. Pay attention to the songwriting, arrangement, sound selection, production, vocal choices, and why certain moments work emotionally.

Q: What type of music do you usually work on?

A: R&B, especially alternative and contemporary R&B, often blended with pop and electronic elements.

Q: What's your strongest skill?

A: Melody and lyric writing are definitely my strongest skills. My clients often tell me that I understand and capture what they are trying to express in a way that feels very personal to them.

Q: What do you bring to a song?

A: I bring a strong focus on understanding the person behind the music. As a songwriter or producer, I try to really hear and feel the artist - their personality, emotions, and vision - and bring that to the song. If I'm working on a production, I focus on understanding what the song needs and making sure every musical decision serves the idea.

Q: What's your typical work process?

A: I start by having a detailed conversation with the client to understand their vision, goals, references, and personal taste. I always ask for reference tracks. A few days later, I come back with a demo. If the client loves it, we move forward and develop the idea. If something doesn't feel right, I ask specific questions to understand what needs to change and adjust the work accordingly. Once everything is finalized and approved, I deliver the final files -multitracks for production projects, or vocal stacks/stems for vocal recording projects.

Q: Tell us about your studio setup.

A: My setup includes an AKG P120 microphone, SSL 2 audio interface, Audio-Technica ATH-M50x headphones, Mackie CR-X monitors, and Logic Pro.

Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.

A: I most commonly work as a topliner, songwriter, and music producer, primarily for R&B and pop artists. I help artists develop their ideas into complete songs, from melodies and lyrics to production and vocal arrangements.
