Hi, My name is Rudansh Singh aka REDD. I'm a producer known for my crazy 808s and drums. You'll definitely notice the unique 808 slides I work on in Drill Projects. I make everything from Trap to Lo-Fi and Drill (I just love Drill Music!). I'm also a multi-instrumentalist which basically means a little bit of everything but my forte are Guitars.

SoundCloud might look kinda empty since most of my tracks are private there. Hit me up if you wanna hear more!

Interview with REDD

  1. Q: What are you working on at the moment?

  2. A: A sick beat for my brother K-SHEV, a rapper from Jammu.

  3. Q: Is there anyone on SoundBetter you know and would recommend to your clients?

  4. A: Don't really know anyone here!

  5. Q: Analog or digital and why?

  6. A: I guess a mix of both to get the best out of both worlds.

  7. Q: What's your 'promise' to your clients?

  8. A: I'll get you the sound you're looking for by hook or crook and you'll be back for more of this unique taste.

  9. Q: What do you like most about your job?

  10. A: Music, Of Course! Making something new every time I work.

  11. Q: What questions do customers most commonly ask you? What's your answer?

  12. A: How much time would it take for you to complete this project? I usually answer this depending on my schedule and factor into it a couple of emergency situations as well.

  13. Q: What's the biggest misconception about what you do?

  14. A: When I sit for a session every beat I make during that time will be fire. This actually isn't true even for far superior producers than me like Nick Mira or CXDY or Sez.

  15. Q: What questions do you ask prospective clients?

  16. A: What kind of beat are they looking for? Do they have a reference in mind? What's the vibe of the track? Do you want mix-mastering services as well? Will we be working on projects in bulk?

  17. Q: What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?

  18. A: Uhhh...I don't know how to answer this. I can work very fast if the vibe is just right. I might pester the client a lot with my ideas as well.

  19. Q: If you were on a desert island and could take just 5 pieces of gear, what would they be?

  20. A: My Laptop, My Phone, Headphones, A Lighter and a Solar Rechargeable Power Unit

  21. Q: What was your career path? How long have you been doing this?

  22. A: I'm pursuing my Bachelor's in Mechanical Engineering alongside producing music. I got introduced to FL Studio around 8-10 years back and even produced for a while but then took a long break. I started again three years ago and have been growing and improving ever since.

  23. Q: How would you describe your style?

  24. A: Non-Conventional

  25. Q: Which artist would you like to work with and why?

  26. A: Seedhe Maut for sure! They're damn crazy and I send my work to them very often. Encore even praised one of my unique drill beats and wanted to save it! It'll be a dream come true.

  27. Q: Can you share one music production tip?

  28. A: Do not forget to EQ and choose good sounds so that you can keep EQing to a minimum.

  29. Q: What type of music do you usually work on?

  30. A: All kinds of trap and drill stuff mostly.

  31. Q: What's your strongest skill?

  32. A: Crazy drums and 808s especially in Drill Music and Crazy Electric Guitar Leads

  33. Q: What do you bring to a song?

  34. A: I'd say a unique kind of variety and sound as well.

  35. Q: What's your typical work process?

  36. A: Making a melody or using a sample(depend on the mood), mixing it and EQing stuff in the melody itself then moving to drums. I keep my drums very varied with at least two different patterns in the same track. I work on the 808s or the Bass in the end, saving the best for the last. I also keep my 808s very varied. People migt like to work with just an 8 bar 808 pattern but I like to make multiple patterns that flow with the varied drums. I mix and master the hell out of it and voila!

  37. Q: Tell us about your studio setup.

  38. A: It's more like a home studio wherein I work primarily on my laptop and a MIDI and if anything else is required I connect it at the time. The lack of a proper studio has never affected the quality of music I put out.

  39. Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?

  40. A: Seedhe Maut, Sez on the Beat, Karan Kanchan, Deep Kalsi, SymbolycOne and my Producer/Engineer/Rapper friend Feidhe. There are many more in this list.

  41. Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.

  42. A: Production and Mix-Mastering Services
