I have over a decade of experience in recording and songwriting for myself as well as other artists. Studied at Berklee and a member of The Recording Academy. It'll be an honor to contribute what I do, to your creative process.
Hi Guys!
My name is Akini Blake and songwriting is what I live for:) I write for my own catalog and for other acts, many of whom have had major success in the industry.
My strengths are R&B and Singer-Songwriter records. My voice blends well with acoustic instrumentation containing compelling builds. I have a clean falsetto and a naturally warm sound. I write radio-ready songs and always keep my finger on the pulse of current trends. Not so much to fit in but rather to keep a fresh sound.
I find that perfectionism isn't conducive to authenticity but I do aim at getting close enough to where the emotion spills out of the speaker and into the direct center of the listener.
With each new project I undertake, the goal is simple. To create art that keeps the listener's device stuck on repeat.
