Interview with Caden Early
Q: What are you working on at the moment?
A: I am working on my own EDM project that I release and play my own music with! I will be announcing it very soon.
Q: Analog or digital and why?
A: The common listener can not tell a difference, and digital is cheaper but analog is better only because you can feel the knobs in reality, not on the computer.
Q: What do you like most about your job?
A: Everything. I love music! And the feeling of listening to your own music is like nothing else.
Q: What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?
A: Learn as much as you can from the people you work with. You never know who or what might be of use to you.
Q: If you were on a desert island and could take just 5 pieces of gear, what would they be?
A: Computer (obviously), monitors, interface, guitar, and MIDI keyboard. We'd be making tropical hits babyyy!
Q: What was your career path? How long have you been doing this?
A: I played guitar my whole life and was in bands throughout high school. Now I am a student at ICON collective in Los Angeles, making music production my new career.
Q: Which artist would you like to work with and why?
A: I would love to work with
Q: Can you share one music production tip?
A: Use reference tracks! Gain inspiration from other artists and take the parts you like about each and input them into your own productions.
Q: What type of music do you usually work on?
A: I usually work on EDM or rock music, but can achieve other genres as well! It is all pretty relative.
Q: What's your strongest skill?
A: My strongest skill is my ear. If a melody or chord progression is lacking, I will know how to enhance it.
