Born in Saint Louis, Missouri, and raised in a small town in Ohio, Berlynn explored intricate blends of genres from R&B, Electronic, Pop, and Soul music. She became enamored with artists like Anita Baker, Aaliyah, Jill Scott, Pink, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Amel Larrieux, and India Arie.
