Interview with Integral studio
Q: What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?
A: Choose someone who has the most experience in your field and has a lot of previous work (All of mine is on my website). For example, you wouldn't ask Justin Beiber to compose for Iron maiden.
Q: If you were on a desert island and could take just 5 pieces of gear, what would they be?
A: Guitar, kick, snare and a good voice. No need for a fifth!
Q: What was your career path? How long have you been doing this?
A: I have been writing music for over 7 years and have been an audio engineer for 3 years.
Q: How would you describe your style?
A: Adaptable and punctual.
Q: Which artist would you like to work with and why?
A: Steven Wilson. Usually when listening to musicians for a long enough time you work out a method to there style of writing. I still cannot figure out how Wilson creates his art and would love to collaborate with him.
Q: Can you share one music production tip?
A: Allow the song to breathe. Don't flood it with instruments, effects and compression.
Q: What type of music do you usually work on?
A: I specialise in rock, metal, indie and electronic music but I am not limited.
Q: What's your strongest skill?
A: Bringing a new and original sound to each piece I work on
Q: What do you bring to a song?
A: My adaptability to almost any instrument allows me to use a variety of sounds for every song keeping a fresh and desirable sound ensuring people LOVE what they hear. I specialise in rock, metal, indie and electronic music but I am not limited.
Q: What's your typical work process?
A: This varies from project to project but I approach each job with an open mind and the same goal: To create a kick ass product
