Hi, I'm Rory. I'm a professional mastering engineer based in London, UK.
As someone who comes from a background of making music, touring and putting out my own records, I know how sacred the music-making process can be. It’s always an absolute privilege to welcomed into another artist’s project, regardless of genre or scope.
I love music that pushes the boundaries of the recorded medium – stuff that’s unique and new and exciting. My background is in rock, metal, and classical, but nowadays I’m grateful to work on a wide variety of music including a lot of jazz, folk, singer/songwriter and alt-pop.
When I’m mastering music, I work very instinctually, trusting my ear and aiming to give a track that extra 10% that makes it feel rich, full and captivating. I never stray too far from the mix (you’re probably already pretty happy with it!) I aim to accentuate it’s best qualities and allow it to be heard the way it deserves to be.
