My name is Jean-Noël Wilthien and I’m a Pop multi gold, plat and diamond music producer based in France. 2.000.000 records sold. More than 900.000.000 streams. I can help with topline, lyrics, I also produce the tracks and, being a multi instrumentalist, I play and/or program all of the instruments needed for the song.
I will make an A-List Modern Pop track for you, and help you with the topline and English lyrics if needed.
20+ years of experience in Music, and 11 in the industry.
We’ll make great songs together.
Cheers from France 🇫🇷

Q: Tell us about a project you worked on you are especially proud of and why. What was your role?
A: I produced several tracks for Sillygomania, the second LP of Loïc Nottet, a Belgian singer. We finished the recording process at ICP Studios, Brussels, the biggest music studio in Europe. It was a dream come true to work in these conditions.
Q: What are you working on at the moment?
A: My project Royale Avenue, developing some artists projects here in France, and also Asian Pop & Western Pop song pitching briefs.
Q: Analog or digital and why?
A: Only digital cause it's easier/faster for recalls.
Q: What's your 'promise' to your clients?
A: I will follow your vision, and put my skills at your service.
Q: What do you like most about your job?
A: Making different types of music everyday.
Q: What questions do customers most commonly ask you? What's your answer?
A: How do you find the chord progressions for a topline ? For me it's like magnetism, when you have the right one, everything seems to be kinda glued together.
Q: What's the biggest misconception about what you do?
A: I'm a songwriter/producer/multi-instrumentalist, not just a mix engineer.
Q: What questions do you ask prospective clients?
A: What are your influences, which artists inspire you ? What is your goal for your project ? Do you want to take the mainstream road or the indie one ? Etc.
Q: What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?
A: If you want to take your song to the next level, I think I'm the right fit for you.
Q: If you were on a desert island and could take just 5 pieces of gear, what would they be?
A: Acoustic Guitar/Electric Guitar/Drumset/Percussions/Piano
Q: What was your career path? How long have you been doing this?
A: I originally wanted to be a professional studio drummer, but I decided to develop more my writing and producing skills.
Q: How would you describe your style?
A: Good music ;)
Q: Which artist would you like to work with and why?
A: It would be Max Martin the songwriter, cause he's been reigning on the business for so many years.
Q: Can you share one music production tip?
A: Less is more.
Q: What type of music do you usually work on?
A: I mostly work in the Modern Pop genre. I'm pretty versatile, don't really have boundaries when it comes to production.
Q: What's your strongest skill?
A: I've been writing songs for 20+ years so I think I kinda know to turn a good song into a great one.
Q: What do you bring to a song?
A: I try my best to make the song as strong and unique as possible.
Q: What's your typical work process?
A: My clients send me a piano/vocal track or guitar/vocal and I produce around the acapella. Sometimes I change the chord progressions if needed, the topline and/or lyrics. When it happens I just ask for a slice of the publishing copyright. My goal is to make the song as strong as possible.
Q: Tell us about your studio setup.
A: Apollo X-Mac BookPro-Mojave Microphone-Fender JazzMaster-Taylor 416ce-Cordoba Nylon-Fender Mustang Bass-Drumkit-Percussions and looooaaddds of plugins...
Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?
A: I try to always push the envelope, and make music that sounds and feels unique, not just a copy of something that already exists.
Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.
A: I build fully produced instrumental and vocal tracks for my clients, premix and premaster them. The client has to provide the vocalist but I can wrap a demo version of the male topline if needed.
