I have worked with Lampadinha for almost 15 years now and will continue to do so as long as I can. He is incredibly talented, organized, focused and friendly. His high standards have definitely stood the test of time.
Lamps is not only one of the best engineers i've had the pleasure to work with, but also a very humble, kind, and amazing individual! His attention to details is impeccable, and he can get a LOT done with very little equipment. Definitely one of the best pair of ears for hire in Los Angeles! Highly recommended A++++
Most of the time It's hard to understand and see all the potential you have as an artist, and that is when Lamps comes in and unleash all the talent that was trapped inside you and then... your art, your MUSIC just becomes something else... LAMPS will go all the way as a PRODUCER, Engineer, ...anything..To take your music to the NEXT LEVEL. if you are fortunate enough to work with Lamps like I did, please do .. he is the BEST..
Lamps is an amazing producer and engineer! I love working with him and learning from him. Not only is he great at what he does, but he is also a wonderful person and always willing to go the extra step to help me understand the process on the technical level that many others would not have the patience for.
I have worked with Lamps in many projects. Either as a producer or engineer, he has always been exceptional and very professional. High quality!
On a scale of one to ten, I think a producer/engineer who is technically proficient can be about a 7. Someone who's proficient and a great person can be a 10. Someone who is technically proficient, a great person AND cares enough to learn things to better serve their clients and themselves is an 11. So I score Lamp, 12!
Lamps mastered my first album in 2010. Very talented and professional engineer!
Lamps has been the Mastering engineer for all my tracks since the first time we worked together. Do you know that final talent you want so much in the last stage of production? Count on him! genius!
When I first worked with Lamps he was a very young and dedicated Radio sound technician, the first and only that took all the operating manuals home to read and really learn each and every single detail about the equipment that could make his work better.Today after 5 Grammy Awards and an international carrier, he's an experienced professional that can deliver. - I'm very proud of you my friend!
lamp does not need genius, he is the genius! Great friend!
It is always a pleasure to work with Lamps. He produced my band a couple of years ago, and was an incredible experience to me. A professional extremely attentive and organized about every single detail which is happening around the session. Lamp's sound is extremely characteristic and unmistakable, believe me, if you need a producer who goes deep and always finds the best of you,Lamps is your goal

Interview with Lamps Lampadinha
Q: Tell us about a project you worked on you are especially proud of and why. What was your role?
A: Definitely the bands that brought me those awards—Charlie Brown Jr. (engineering and mixing), Titãs (engineering and mastering), NX Zero (engineering), CPM 22 (engineering), and Scalene (producing). I’m grateful for every one of those collaborations.
Q: Analog or digital and why?
A: Both analog and digital are just tools—and at the end of the day, it’s all about the music, not the gear.
Q: What questions do you ask prospective clients?
A: Let's make history?
Q: How would you describe your style?
A: I’m like a Swiss Army knife—super flexible and always ready to jump in. I genuinely love working across all kinds of genres. Whether it’s Rock, Country, Americana, or something totally unexpected, I’m all in.
Q: Can you share one music production tip?
A: For sure! Music is a gift—it’s pure joy. Just listen with love and passion, no overthinking, no stress. If it moves you, trust that feeling and follow your heart and your ears.
Q: What type of music do you usually work on?
A: I’ve worked on all kinds of music, but yeah—most of the time it’s been rock. Funny enough, all five of my awards are with rock bands. That said, I just love music, and I’m always down to work with any genre.
Q: What's your strongest skill?
A: What matters most is truly understanding the artist’s vision, what they need and where they want the song to go—so I can help bring that to life in the mix.
Q: What do you bring to a song?
A: I always try to connect with what the song is giving me—whether it’s emotion, energy, or vibe—and then I focus on amplifying that feeling throughout the mix.
Q: What's your typical work process?
A: I always start by listening to the rough mix or session mix to understand what the artist is used to listening to. I actually use it as my main reference—it helps guide the direction while I build my mix on top of it, aiming to enhance it both artistically and sonically.
Q: Tell us about your studio setup.
A: Over the years, I’ve worked with a wide range of gear and studios—both digital and analog—and all that experience has made me feel completely at home whether I’m mixing in the box or in a fully analog setup.
Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?
A: Oh man… there are so many! Let me think… Artists like Led Zeppelin, Black Sabbath, Alice in Chains, Metallica, John Bonham, Rick Springfield, and James Taylor have definitely left a mark on me. And when it comes to the pros behind the scenes—people like Justin Niebank, Chris Lord-Alge, Al Schmitt, Bruce Swedien, Michael Kremer, Joe Barresi… just to name a few. Huge inspirations, all of them.
Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.
A: Mixer / Producer / Engineer
Q: What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?
A: Send me your project and let's have some fun! And don't worry, I don't mind doing recalls :-)
Q: If you were on a desert island and could take just 5 pieces of gear, what would they be?
A: It depends... we're going tracking or mixing in there? :-)
Q: What's your 'promise' to your clients?
A: We are going to be happy!
Q: What do you like most about your job?
A: Working with amazing artists!
