I'm an Italian vocalist and songwriter in the Pop and Indie pop genre. I sing and compose both in English and Italian. Specialized in toplines, I can work with writing the whole structure of a song, including melody, lyrics, harmonies, chords progressions and an initial demo arrangement on a DAW. I can also be the vocalist for the song you wrote.
For eight years I have attended vocals, acoustic guitar, music theory and ensamble music classes at a Modern Music Academy in my hometown in Italy. Moved to Brighton (UK) at 20 years old to study Songwriting at British and Irish Modern Music Institute, where I graduated in 2021. While working on my personal artist path, I collaborated with producers and musicians between England and Italy, recording and releasing my first songs as an artist. My songwriter path has moved much more towards the session songwriter, since in April 2022 I started collaborating with Naive Recording Studio (PU,Italy) writing music for sync and albums on commission; I am still collaborating with them nowadays.
After all these years being in contacts with different realities in the music industry, I can now offer a wide range of vocal and songwriting skills. I would love to work with you and help you bring your music to life!

Interview with Chiara Magrini
Q: What are you working on at the moment?
A: I am constantly working on building my writing path as a songwriter and, in order to do so, I am constantly involved in as many writing projects as possible.
Q: What questions do you ask prospective clients?
A: For vocals: how would you want me to sing/interpret this song? For songwriting: give me as many details as possible on the genre, mood, if predominantly major or minor chords, lenght, topic of the lyrics etc..
Q: What was your career path? How long have you been doing this?
A: I have been writing songs since I was 14, and been studing vocals since I was 10.
Q: Which artist would you like to work with and why?
A: All the ones I mentioned above and many more because I just love their melodies, I am an incurable melody lover.
Q: What type of music do you usually work on?
A: The main are Pop, Indie pop, Italian Pop, Electronic Pop, Soft Rock, Folk
Q: What's your strongest skill?
A: Creativity/Technique speaking: my voice can adapt good to different genres, moods and interpretations. Also I always write toplines using a mix of spontaneity and analysis, trying to create a coherent development of the melody throughout the song. Personally speaking: organisation, time management and respect of deadlines.
Q: What's your 'promise' to your clients?
A: If you hire me I will record vocals as quick as possible, but always prioritizing the quality of the vocals and the power of a personal interpretation.
Q: What do you bring to a song?
A: Warm and enveloping vocals with (if requested) a personal and introspective touch. I can write both straightforward or abstract and dreamy lyrics, along with melodies and toplines, especially for pop. In both cases, I always make sure to stick to your artistic vision of the song. The more details you manage to give me on how you want a song to turn out, the better.
Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?
A: I really do listen to tons of different kind of music, so the range of artists that inspired me has always been huge. In this first half of 2023 some that inspired me a lot have been Coldplay, Shawn Mendes . In these years, I also discovered some less known artists that I completely fell in love with, such as the norwegian Emilie Nicolas, the swedish Benjamin Ingrosso and the portuguese MARO. Please go and check them out, cause they got badass producers.
Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.
A: I record vocals (contralto and mezzosoprano range). As a songwriter, I can write: only lyrics, only melody or both; lyrics and music (chord progressions, melodies and top lines). I can also record easy acoustic guitar parts.
