The level of professionalism and efficiency that Itzatrap Productions brings to the musical realm is top of the line. Not only does he do his best to provide the sound quality and overall creativity that the artist is looking for, but also provides keen insight on how to bring out the best of every track he produces. He is not afraid of thinking outside the box and diving headfirst into creativity. As an artist that has worked with him on several tracks, I can assure that his beat catalogue and his ability to produce are truly refined for the best artist experience. -Gxntile.

Interview with Itzatrap Productions

  1. Q: Which artist would you like to work with and why?

  2. A: Diplo! For me, he is one of the best all-around producers and DJs.

  3. Q: Can you share one music production tip?

  4. A: Keep it simple! Complexity is good for some songs, but most hits are pretty simple melodies with minimal production behind them.

  5. Q: What type of music do you usually work on?

  6. A: I mainly work on hip-hop and Latin genres such as reggaeton. I dabble in EDm but it is not my strongest genre to work on. Some sub0genres of hip-hop I work on are drill, trap, and boom-bap.

  7. Q: What's your strongest skill?

  8. A: My strongest skill is hip-hop production and mixing.

  9. Q: What do you bring to a song?

  10. A: When I work on a song, I make sure to highlight what makes the song most interesting/catchy. if it's a vocal, I'll make sure that is popping through the mix. Whatever makes the song stand-out and unique is what I want to highlight.

  11. Q: Tell us about your studio setup.

  12. A: My studio setup is simple, a bedroom studio with some good, old-fashioned KRK's. Nowadays, big studios aren't needed to make hit songs.

  13. Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?

  14. A: One producer that has inspired me since I was a kid is Timbaland. The way he creates songs out of nothing is inspiring. Also, TRGC is one of my current favorite producers. His unique sound has helped many underground artists take off.

  15. Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.

  16. A: I mainly work with local artists to mix and master their songs. I also do production, additional production, and beat-making for artists.
