Laurentius on SoundBetter

I'm a Grammy-nominated Producer & Recording Studio owner under the name 'Laurentius'. I mostly produce & write dance-pop and house music. With 15 years of experience in music, my productions have been streamed over 30 million times, gained powerful partnerships and worked for/with major artists. And I'd like to help the SoundBetter community too.

I'd like to take your music to the next level! You can send me a demo of your song so I can assess whether I am a suitable fit for it, or we work from scratch. I'm here to make your vision come to life.

I'm also available for a video intake to discuss your song's production, and I pride myself on maintaining a personal connection between my clients.

If you need help with releasing a song, I can also help you compiling a suitable pitching plan for label placements, using my own expertise and network.

Would love to hear from you. Click the contact button above to get in touch.

I sent Lars my vocals and he built a perfect song around it. He cared to what I wanted and added his touch to make everything sound better. Super easy to work with, very kind, and personal.

He is really someone who cares and knows what they’re doing. Thanks

Interview with Laurentius

  1. Q: What are you working on at the moment?

  2. A: I'm working with a couple major charities to create an anthem to raise awareness for hearing health. It will be linked to World Hearing Day.

  3. Q: Is there anyone on SoundBetter you know and would recommend to your clients?

  4. A: KAMA. Top singer, would 100% recommend him for your toplines.

  5. Q: Analog or digital and why?

  6. A: Both! The analog sound is iconic, which is why I use it in my recording studio. But digital is the future, and a lot easier to travel around with. Lol!

  7. Q: What's your 'promise' to your clients?

  8. A: 100% satisfaction!

  9. Q: What do you like most about your job?

  10. A: Being able to translate a creative vision into a commercial, professional product. There's no feeling in the world that comes close to it!

  11. Q: What questions do customers most commonly ask you? What's your answer?

  12. A: I don't think I have an answer to this question.. jeez!

  13. Q: What's the biggest misconception about what you do?

  14. A: That I only produce Pop Music. I have worked in many other genres, like House, Techno, Drum & Bass and even some Rock projects!

  15. Q: What questions do you ask prospective clients?

  16. A: What does your music mean to you, and how can I help to bring this vision to life?

  17. Q: What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?

  18. A: Try to arrange an online meeting. I will try to understand exactly how I can bring your vision to life, and I can do this best with a meeting. Also, it's always fun to say hello, right?

  19. Q: If you were on a desert island and could take just 5 pieces of gear, what would they be?

  20. A: My ukulele, Apollo Twin X, AT4033 Microphone, Macbook a power generator. A desert island won't stop me from making music!

  21. Q: What was your career path? How long have you been doing this?

  22. A: I've been producing and releasing music for over 15 years. I've become a released songwriter since the past 5 years, and I own my own recording studio since 2025.

  23. Q: How would you describe your style?

  24. A: An exotic blend of tropical music, with a focus on positivity.

  25. Q: Which artist would you like to work with and why?

  26. A: Either Ed Sheeran or John Mayer. Generational songwriters, and they're not too bad with a guitar as well.

  27. Q: Can you share one music production tip?

  28. A: We live in a visual plugin age, where you have spectral analysers here. But it's all based on analog hardware. Close your eyes, start tweaking, envision yourself in an old analog studio, and experiment with the changes in sound.

  29. Q: What type of music do you usually work on?

  30. A: Dance-pop, House Music and Disco

  31. Q: What's your strongest skill?

  32. A: Without a doubt it's personal touch. I take great pride in the fact that I will put great attention and care into every project, and aim to build personal long-term relationships.

  33. Q: What do you bring to a song?

  34. A: I'm a Grammy-nominated Producer & Recording Studio owner, and I bring this experience to the table. With 15 years of experience in music, my productions have been streamed over 30 million times, and I can also assist with songwriting.

  35. Q: What's your typical work process?

  36. A: Every projects, sound and artists needs a different, personalised approach. As a music producer, it's my role to make a vision come to life, and I don't believe that this process can be standardised.

  37. Q: Tell us about your studio setup.

  38. A: I'm owner of a professional recording studio in my hometown Zwolle. It's called CUE Sound, and for the gear list, I refer you to our website since we're constantly making adjustments.

  39. Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?

  40. A: Surprisingly, my inspiration goes all over the place. I'm a huge rock-music fan, that also listens to traditional Senegale folk music, for instance. I do take inspiration from every music style over the world, which also depicts my unique, worldly sound.

  41. Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.

  42. A: I usually do ghost-production, but I've also for hire as a songwriter. I've written many songs for big artist, and the songs I've written have reached millions of listeners.
