Jonah Weingarten has scored and arranged (digital) orchestration for a myriad of projects including metal bands and projects, video games, podcast jingles, promotional video, book trailers, and independent film. His trademark sound is epic and expansive soundscapes, be it for a sweeping symphonic metal album or a 20 second podcast intro.
Jonah Weingarten has a vast background in metal and modern classical piano. A signed recording artist for 20 years, he's worked in just about every subgenre of metal imaginable — from melodic death metal and black metal, to symphonic metal and power metal. A connoisseur of both intricate keyboard shredding and massive orchestral arrangements, Jonah has the ability to transform any project he touches into an epic masterpiece. In addition to the many bands and albums he's contributed to in metal, he's also released 2 solo modern classical piano albums.
Throughout his journey as a composer, Jonah has branched out into many different facets of digital orchestration. Over the past 6 years, he has amassed an extensive, high-end, Hollywood caliber orchestral sample library (VSTs). He also works with a wide network of fellow session musicians for those instances when only a native instrument will do. This network includes guitarists, drummers, bassists, violinists, cellists, and even a hurdy-gurdist.
Aside from metal session work, Jonah's most recent large scale project was scoring a video game produced by German video game developer, Impawsible Games. An 80's style modern version of a 2-bit sidescroller, Jonah composed a synthwave score.
