Mike is a phenomenal bassist, a thoughtful teacher, and a great person to know! He is friendly and easy to work with. He did a remote recording on upright for a song on my album ('thou art with me' on solstice by Schuyler Kitchin), which turned out exactly as we needed it. I've also experienced his work as a teacher/mentor when he came and shared at Berklee about thinking through career/future plans.
